Centre for Oil and Gas – DTU is established by the Danish Underground Consortium and DTU. As part of a national strategy on oil and gas, the research centre is an ambitious, targeted effort to improve recovery of oil and gas from the Danish North Sea.
The positions will be an integrated part of the advanced water flooding programme with the focus on improving oil recovery in chalk reservoirs in the Danish part of the North Sea. In this context, the candidate is expected to perform fundamental and applied research on understanding of enhance oil recovery from chalk reservoirs, and upscaling of multiphase flow on scales ranging from the core-to-field-scale.
DTU, The Technical University of Denmark, Department of Management Engineering invites applicants for a 3-year PhD position on “Affective Interaction between New Venture Team members”, starting ideally on 1 September 2018 or as soon as possible thereafter in 2018.
The project focuses on understanding the interaction mechanisms underlying performance relevant long-term outcomes in new venture teams, i.e. how a team’s interactions can be used to predict its future success. For this purpose you will conduct a longitudinal panel study with start-up teams. You will analyse the teams using SPAFF coding scheme and follow them intensively for three years.

Storm surges is one of the main natural hazards in Denmark, as testified by recent as well as historical storm surges. Due to climate change and the related sea level rise, damages to human and natural systems caused by storms and storm surges are expected to become more frequent.
The aim of the PhD project is to identify the physical limits of a “perfect” storm surge, i.e. to enhance the knowledge of how extreme (worst-case scenario) storms and storm surges on the Danish coasts can get under present and future climatic conditions.
