Scientific Lab Team Lead: Molecular Biology/Enzyme Biotechnology - DTU Bioengineering

DTU Bioengineering is seeking to employ a scientific team leader who will be responsible for the continued development, organization, research management, and daily running of the molecular biology laboratory within Enzyme Discovery and Enzyme Technology in the Protein Chemistry and Enzyme Technology Section at the Department of Biotechnology and Biomedicine at DTU.

The job entails that you are proactively involved in introduction of and assessment of new experimental approaches, methods selection, development of protocols, and any new procedures in the enzyme biotechnology pipeline in close collaboration with co-workers and project leaders.

Research Scientist in Metabolic Engineering

In the Discovery and Design Team you’ll take on a key role in developing microbial production strains for industrial fermentation processes. Our tasks cover early discovery projects establishing microbial production of new compounds as well as development projects to enable cost effective biomanufacturing.

Your main responsibilities will be:

• Genetic design and construction of microbial strains to optimize production of chemicals
• To draft and execute the experimental designs

PhD scholarship in Behavioral Economics and Biosustainability – DTU Management
