
Logistics Team Leader

About the role
As Logistics Team Leader, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth day-to-day execution of our logistics operations. The position is based at our facility in Hillerød.
The role is primarily an operational leadership role (approximately 80%), where your focus will be on managing daily warehouse activities, transportation, inventory movements, customer deliveries and leading a team of warehouse operators.
The remaining 20% of your role will focus on tactical improvements, including optimizing logistics processes, driving continuous improvement initiatives, monitoring KPIs and supporting Supply Chain projects.
The role also includes ownership of the site's scrap management process, ensuring accurate reporting, root cause analysis and cross-functional follow-up to reduce waste and improve operational performance.
You will be part of our Operations organization, working closely with Planning, Procurement, Production, Technical Development and Customer Service.
You will have direct responsibility for a team of three warehouse operators and report to the Head of Sourcing & Logistics.
As this is a newly established position, you will have the opportunity to help shape both the role and the future way of working.
Key responsibilities
Operational (approximately 80%)
- Lead, coach and develop the warehouse team
- Ensure safe and efficient daily warehouse operations
- Coordinate inbound and outbound logistics activities
- Ensure timely deliveries to customers
- Manage inventory accuracy and warehouse performance
- Coordinate transportation and external logistics providers
- Resolve day-to-day operational challenges
- Collaborate closely with Planning, Production, Procurement and Customer Service
- Ensure compliance with company procedures, GMP requirements and applicable regulations
Tactical (approximately 20%)
- Identify and implement continuous improvements within logistics operations
- Own and continuously improve the site's scrap management process, including reporting, root cause analysis and cross-functional follow-up
- Develop operational KPI reporting and performance dashboards
- Analyze logistics performance and drive corrective actions
- Support warehouse optimization and process improvement initiatives
- Participate in Supply Chain improvement projects
- Support supplier and logistics partner performance reviews
Professional qualifications
- Relevant degree within Logistics, Supply Chain, Engineering or a related discipline
- Minimum 5 years of experience within logistics or supply chain operations
- Previous people management experience is preferred
- Experience working with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), ERP systems or similar
- Experience with Power BI is an advantage
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to prioritize and make decisions in a fast-paced operational environment
- Fluent in Danish and English, both written and spoken
