Just 10 years ago, temps were a stop-gap solution for companies. They were better than nothing - but not much. That image has changed fundamentally, and in a dynamic, labour-hungry society, the status of the temp has skyrocketed out along with its popularity.
Temporary employment is varied and greatly reflects the diversity that exists in industry and society. For the same reasons, there may be a great difference from one place of employment to another, even if they are in the same line of business.
Having had many temporary employments can signal knowledge and success, but also be misunderstood as a lack - or ability - to commit to one workplace. So if one day you decide to apply for a permanent position, it is an advantage to think about how best to present your temporary experience on the CV.
