DTU Management Engineering is seeking excellent candidates for a PhD scholarship in the area of cyclist safety and statistical modelling. The PhD student will be attached to the division of Transport Modelling.
The purpose of the scholarship is to contribute to high-level research in the area of traffic safety with focus on bicycle accidents, how to model these using statistical models and how to assess its associated costs for society. The modelling can involve parametric or non-parametric methods from statistics and machine learning.
The modelling involves predictions in the geography, by accident situation and by social characteristics and will benefit from high quality data.
