PhD scholarship in Validation and Quantification of Super Resolution Ultrasound Imaging using Micro-CT

A 3-year PhD scholarship is available at the Center for Fast Ultrasound Imaging (CFU), Department of Health Technology from September 2022 sponsored by the European Research Council (ERC) and the Department of Health Technology (DTU Health Tech) at DTU.

This project investigates methods for validating and quantifying SURE imaging using micro-CT data obtained using micro-CT scanners and synchrotron scanning. The images are acquired at a very high resolution that allows them to be compared to the vasculature in the SURE images. The purpose is to automatically segment the micro-CT images to reveal the full vasculature, and then co-register and quantify how well the SURE images depict this vasculature correctly, and how small vessels that can be reliably shown.
