Research Specialist in Optical Fibers (part time position)

We are looking for a skilled and experienced specialist in experimental design and characterization of optical fibers.

You will be responsible for implementing methods used to characterize optical properties of optical fibers including methods used to characteroize waveguiding phenomena. This could for example be related to designing or suggesting novel fiberdesigns for optical fibers applied in solution related to remote sensing as for example distributed temperature strain or temperature sensing or voltage sensing.

In addition you will also be part of a group researching novel application of optical fibers. Consequently you will be expected to provide input to future directions and strategy of the group.
