The Winery, perched on the hill slopes in the Premiere Cote du Gaillac, Chateau Lecusse’s wine fields have a superb microclimate, probably one of the best in the hole Occitanie.
This assure perfect wines, almost no matter of the climates fluctuations. Since the Danish couple, Mogens Nyegaard Olesen and his wife Pernille, bought the domain 32 years ago, the wines have achieved the quality summit of the South West.
The hole Winery has undergone a magnificent modernisation, with great respect of the old building techniques known for centuries with the Maur arches and limes stones.
It is an astonishing and magnificent domain, no second to any other building in the region! Besides crafting well over 300.000 bottes of wine, the domain consisting of a total of 80 Ha, in use is, beside the 52 ha of wines, is also, 2½ ha of truffle, 2½ ha of lavender growing for oil production, a great number of olive trees assure the oil production from the estate, and saffron as well as rose oil is produced. Several smaller oak forests are framing the property.
The last unique branch of this wonder domain, is the realisation of the ‘La Grande Roche’, a five star Hotel, Spa, Boutique & Restaurant, that has been opened in May 2022.
And old Maison Agricole,that partly date back to the middle age, has been restored. It is fully modernised, but stand out as a modern Hotel with all modern amenities, it’s a place to; Must see, Must taste, Must visit ! And the view is stunning facing south looking at wine fields and the Pyrenees in the horizon, a true Shangri-la!
International cuisine is to be tasted, with a fusion between French & Scandinavia, a true international Cuisine, it is ravie !
Today, as in the past, the entire selection of Chateau Lecusse wines is available for tasting, either by the bottle or by the glass, accompanied by an assortment of the splendid Cuisines specialties, or Dwell in our WINE BAR and taste our superb wines, to buy and fill up you car to take home !
