We are all dependent on oil and gas in our modern lives. Oil & Gas' activities are an important part of our work to provide our customers with sufficient energy. Our oil and gas production is equivalent to the annual consumption of oil and gas of more than ten million Europeans.
What we do
Oil & Gas' activities comprise oil and gas exploration, development and production. To enhance security of supply and provide sufficient energy for our customers, ongoing oil and gas exploration is important. Oil & Gas has stakes in more than 66 licenses. 13 of the fields are in production and four are under development. The other licenses are in different stages of exploration, for instance, collection of seismic data, evaluation of data and analysis of the economic potential.
Where we operate
Oil & Gas' activities are focused in the waters around Denmark, Norway, the UK (West of Shetland) and the Faroe Islands.
We produce from fields in Denmark and Norway, and we are active in exploration in all our geographical areas. Our largest development projects are the UK gas fields Laggan-Tormore and the Danish oil and gas field Hejre. We expect that these fields will come on stream in 2015 and 2017 respectively.
