I’ve heard talk of the positive list, what is it?

In order for courses and programmes to be eligible for the 6-week job-oriented training funded by the government, they must be approved for the purpose. This is to ensure that they will equip you with skills that will boost your job opportunities. As a result, positive lists of all eligible courses have been drawn up at both a regional and national level.

The positive list contains courses within 17 different occupational groups. Once you have been approved for a course in an occupational group, you are free to apply for courses within that group. However, you will not be able to choose courses from another occupational group. If you search for job-oriented training via Jobindex, you can be sure that the courses and further training programmes are on the positive list. View the complete range of positive lists here.
