We are looking for an experienced pharmaceutical scientist/chemical scientist, preferably with an industrial track record and a strong scientific background in analytical chemistry and drug development, to join our team of pharmaceutical scientists and technicians.
The main responsibilities of the successful candidate will be to:
- Drive and execute client projects in close dialogue with the clients
- Develop and qualify analytical methods (e.g. LC-MS, HPLC-UV) for quantification of drug candidates e.g. in complex biological matrices
The Adaptive Laboratory Evolution (ALE) Group harnesses the power of biology to self-optimize under selective pressures and applies this concept to obtain strains with useful industrial and applied phenotypes.

Souring in waterflooded reservoirs is mainly due to respiration of anaerobic microorganisms (sulphate-reducing prokaryotes, SRP) that reduces sulphate to sulphide. These microorganisms may exist indigenously in the reservoirs or/and may be introduced into the system during drilling and waterflooding.

Development of fluorescent based quantitative microscopy assays for elucidating the biophysical mechanisms underlying the transport of pharmaceutical active peptides across membranes. Newly synthesized peptide candidates produced within The Center will be studied both using artificial membrane model systems and cellular derived membrane constructs. The aim is to determine the peptide, membrane and cellular components that regulate and drive peptide translocation.
