Do you want to build a product that real people use, from day one?

VeriScout is a sports tech startup based in Aarhus. We collect and verify football data from leagues across many countries and turn it into scouting reports. Coaches use them to discover and evaluate international talent. Every year, thousands of young players dream of combining football and education abroad. Most of them are judged on highlight videos and self-reported stats. We want to change that with data people can trust.

We have a live platform, real users and a growing amount of data. Now we are looking for a developer who wants to take real ownership of the product and grow with the company.

The role

You will work directly with the founders and have a real say in what we build and how we build it. This is not a role where you pick up tickets from a long backlog. You will be close to the users, see how your work is used, and help decide what comes next.

What you’ll work on

• Building new features on our web platform, from the database to what the user sees

• Launching our new player market, where players can create a profile and get discovered

• Working with football data from many different countries and sources, and making sure it is correct

• Improving the stability, speed and quality of an existing codebase

• Helping shape the technical direction as the product and team grow

Tech: TypeScript/Next.js and React on the web, Python for data and AI, PostgreSQL underneath. You don’t need to know all of it, just be curious and quick to learn.

Who you are

• You study computer science, software engineering or similar, or have equivalent experience

• You have built something on your own: a side project, an app or a product that someone actually uses

• You are comfortable working across frontend and backend, and like learning new things fast

• You care about quality and like to finish what you start

• You enjoy working in a small team where your work makes a visible difference

Bonus points

• Interest in football or sports data

• Experience with data pipelines or working with large datasets

• Experience with AI tools in your development workflow

VeriScout is building the data infrastructure for international soccer recruitment, helping American college coaches discover, evaluate, and recruit international talent with greater confidence. Every year, thousands of soccer players from around the world pursue opportunities to play college soccer in the United States. However, evaluating international prospects remains a fragmented and time-consuming process. Coaches often lack reliable information about players’ previous clubs, competitive levels, match appearances, and performance. Existing recruitment tools largely depend on player-submitted information, video highlights, and incomplete data, making it difficult to compare prospects across countries and identify the right fit. VeriScout solves this problem by building a centralized platform for verified international soccer data. We collect, structure, and verify player histories, match appearances, lineups, and competition levels across multiple countries. Our platform transforms fragmented information into standardized player reports that allow coaches to evaluate prospects more efficiently and make better-informed recruiting decisions. Beyond verification, we use AI and historical college soccer data to identify patterns in player development and college outcomes. Our goal is to help coaches understand how a player’s background and performance compare with those of players who have previously succeeded at different competitive levels. This enables more data-driven talent identification and better matches between players and college programs. We are also developing a player marketplace that connects verified international talent with American college coaches, giving players greater visibility and creating a more transparent recruitment process. Our competitive advantage lies in our growing international data infrastructure, standardized verification methodology, and ability to connect European soccer performance with the American college soccer system. Rather than relying solely on self-reported profiles, VeriScout aims to become a trusted source of truth for international soccer recruitment. We are starting with college soccer in the United States, with the long-term ambition of building the leading global data and recruitment infrastructure connecting soccer talent with opportunities worldwide.
