Head of Compliance Oversight Assessments
We are looking for an experienced colleague to lead our Compliance Oversight Assessments (COA) team. In this role, you will guide a group of specialists who carry out focused reviews to understand how well the frameworks created by Group Risk Management and 1st Line Specialist Functions support the management of Compliance Risks. These areas include Market, Liquidity, Credit, Operational, IT & Security, and Data Risk Management.
You will work closely with regulatory authorities and partners across the organisation to help ensure our compliance practices remain clear, consistent, and aligned with regulatory expectations. Your contribution will support our shared commitment to continuous and effective compliance, and transparent decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support the COA team by offering clear guidance and inclusive coaching
- Coordinate COA activities and help ensure consistent delivery across the Group
- Act as a primary contact with regulatory authorities, including the DFSA, ensuring open, timely communication
- Review frameworks established by Group Risk Management and 1st Line Specialist Functions, contributing to improvements in how compliance risks are understood and managed
- Collaborate with colleagues across Group Compliance and strengthen partnerships across the business
- Contribute to enhancing processes and ways of working within the compliance function
- Oversee planning, quality reviews, observation management, and follow-up activities
- Maintain and develop procedures that support effective governance and regulatory alignment
- Take part in strategic and transformation initiatives, including Forward ’28
About You
- Experience (minimum 7+ years) in risk management, compliance, finance, or legal roles within a financial institution or professional services organisation. In addition, a few years of leadership experience is a plus
- Knowledge of regulations related to credit, market, capital, liquidity, operational, IT, security, or data risk
- Experience supporting or leading teams in a way that values diverse perspectives
- Comfortable communicating in English and Danish, in writing and speech
- Able to share information clearly with different audiences
- Approaches challenges with curiosity and a commitment to responsible and fair outcomes
