Service Engineer, FAS
Are you looking for a job that takes you around the world, challenges your skills, and makes a real impact on the future of energy? Do you thrive in changing environments where no two days are the same? At Semco Maritime, we’re looking for a Service Engineer to join our Fire Alarm Systems (FAS) team – and you might be the one we’re looking for.
Your position
In your new position as FAS Engineer in the Service division, you will be a valuable member of the dedicated Fire Alarm Systems (FAS) team, whose mission is to ensure safety, reliability, and operational excellence across offshore substations worldwide. You will have the chance to work at the forefront of offshore wind energy – maintaining, troubleshooting, and inspecting fire alarm systems in some of the world’s most dynamic energy environments.
At Semco Maritime, safety is a core value, and in this role, you will help maintain and strengthen our strong safety culture while delivering innovative and reliable solutions. Above all, your work will make a real change for the global energy sector.
Your place of work will be at our Global HQ located in Esbjerg, the hub of the Danish energy industry, right on the waterfront – views do not get any better than this. The position is full-time, and you should expect 100+ travel days per year to project sites around the world.
Your tasks & responsibilities
As a Service Engineer, you will be responsible for providing technical support to our international clients in the servicing and maintenance of Fire Alarm Systems on offshore installations.
Your tasks will include, but are not limited to:
- Conducting inspections, servicing, and maintenance of fire alarm systems offshore
- Diagnosing and solving technical issues – both remotely and on-site
- Providing technical support to clients and colleagues
- Documenting and reporting findings clearly and effectively
- Supporting and adhering to health, safety, and environmental standards in all activities
Your profile & qualifications
We are looking for a curious, adaptable, and responsible engineer who thrives in a hands-on technical role and enjoys solving challenges in diverse environments. You have a proactive and structured approach to your work and are eager to learn and grow within a specialized field.
To succeed in this position, we imagine that you have:
- A background as a trained electrician or equivalent strong electrical foundation
- Experience with fire detection or firefighting systems (an advantage, not a must). The ideal candidate would have a DIN 14675 certification.
- Fluency in English, both written and spoken
- Willingness and ability to travel extensively (100+ days per year)
- A strong focus on safety and a high level of technical accuracy
