Research Assistant in Service Design and research support to Horizon EU research project
At the Technical Faculty of IT & Design, Department of Architecture, Design & Media Technology, Aalborg University, Copenhagen Campus, a position as Research Assistant in Service Design and research support to Horizon EU research project, 18,5 hours per week, is available for a period of 12 months as of 01.02.2026 or soon thereafter
The Department of Architecture, Design, and Media Technology has as its goal the development of an innovative cluster of engineering-based environments for education and research which integrate creativity, engineering and technology within the disciplines of architecture, urban design, industrial design, digital design and interactive media. The department is a leading research and educational environment in Denmark that addresses the challenge of the interplay between creativity and technology, and develops new areas in research and education directed towards the end-user.
Your work tasks
Work in EU funded research project, which implies, managing links with EU partners, collaborating in organizing workshops, writing deliverables, writing papers for the project. The position will imply some travelling to the participant cities.
Reporting to the internal coordinator of the project (Prof Nicola Morelli).
The position may also include some teaching for the Master in Service Systems Design at AAU, Copenhagen.
Your competencies
You must be able to apply design tools and competences for the facilitation of meetings and workshops, and to report about them for the participants and for official reporting.
Previous experience in EU Research projects is needed.
A good ownership of design, facilitation and service design tools and techniques is requested. A degree in Design or similar discipline is preferred. Also you need to be perfectly fluent in English
Who we are
The Service Design Lab is a dynamic unit of researchers and teachers, working for the master in Service Systems Design and for several EU and International research projects. The unit is well structured, with regular meetings and with a friendly and collaborative approach. The unit is part of the Department of Architecture, Design and Media Technology at Aalborg University, Copenhagen and share the working space with colleagues from Media Technology, Lighting Design and Sound and Music Computing.
Qualification requirements
Appointment as a research assistant requires academic qualifications at master's degree level.
