It’s not unusual to push the boundaries of process engineering, but in this role, you’ll push the boundaries in the field of large-scale Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (API) facilities or pharmaceutical projects too.

Your new role

As part of the API manufacturing organisation, your new role in M3 project will be to participate in all project activities from design, procurement and validation to operational start-up and be responsible for specific process systems. The systems will be part of a large-scale biotechnological downstream facility. The key design principle will be to implement the best-in-class design standards from other facilities.

Day-to-day your tasks will include:

  • Being an active part in a competent owner organisation and collaborating with colleges from various disciplines and organisations
  • Supervising the activities of the design partners and contractors
  • Taking on an operational role after the project is finished, where you will have a significant position in the API manufacturing organization

Your new department

In CMC & Product Supply, we cover the full value chain from drug and device development to marketed Novo Nordisk products. We are more than 30,000 colleagues across the globe with the shared responsibility of scaling molecules, processes, devices, and products, dedicated to supplying life-saving medicines to the patients who need them most.

Within CMC & Product Supply PS API Expansions project, sits M3 project, where you will be joining a team of 12 process engineers which are each responsible for their systems and work package, ensuring that project schedule, budget, and quality standards are maintained. Proactively monitor and control all aspects of project execution, addressing and mitigating any deviations promptly to prevent escalation and ensure successful outcomes.

Your skills & qualifications

We’re looking for a new Process Engineer who will enjoy working in a

high-paced, dynamic environment. You’ll bring with you:

  • Knowledge of biotechnology or chemical process technology within large-scale production facilities
  • Knowledge and experience of working in an API manufacturing plant or similar operational organisation and/or experience within investment projects in a Life Sciences environment
  • Good understanding of Good Manufacturing Practise (cGMP) and Good Documentation Practice (GDP) or the motivation to learn
  • An ability to enjoy close teamwork while having the responsibility for your process and keeping on developing the amazing collaboration and stakeholder management skills. Also, self-drive, adaptability and the ability to inspire your team and colleagues through ambitious targets, goal setting, clarity and rapid decision making. It is essential to stay motivated by being part of a new organisation from the beginning through the projection and into operation
  • Excellent communications skills to all levels and fluency in English
  • A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in chemistry, pharmaceutical process engineering, mechanical engineering, marine engineering and technology management or similar field

About Site Kalundborg

At Novo Nordisk manufacturing hub in Kalundborg, we are growing.
