Internship at the STRING Secretariat in Copenhagen
Are you a skilled and structured individual eager to work across borders to accelerate the green transition? Then you might be the intern we’re looking for at the STRING Secretariat!

Working place: Central Copenhagen, Denmark
STRING is a political cross-border organization compromising seven cities and nine regions stretching from Hamburg to Oslo. Together we constitute the STRING Megaregion, a globally recognized Green Hub for clean technologies and a leading implementer of sustainable infrastructure solutions.
We are looking for a self-driven and motivated intern, to support our project management and lobbying activities. You will work closely with project managers in a range of coordinative and administrative tasks. You will be assigned a consultant who will guide you throughout your internship. Position details:
- Duration: Minimum 4 months starting August/September 2025 or as soon as possible
- Hours: 37 hours per week with the flexibility to manage your own schedule
- Compensation: Modestly paid - – equivalent to 15 hours per month
Your responsibilities can cover a broad spectrum, but will concentrate on:
- Preparing meeting materials for high-level political meetings
- Supporting tasks in the field of sustainable infrastructure
We are looking for someone who:
- Is currently enrolled in a relevant study program, (e.g., public administration, political science, business administration or similar
- Is fluent in English, plus one of the Scandinavian languages or German
- Thrives in a fast paced, political and international environment
- Is self-driven, solution-orientated, and highly structured
- Possesses strong communication skills and is comfortable interacting with a range of different stakeholders across different disciplines
- Is quick, efficient and able handle multiple tasks under tight deadlines
