The position
You will lead our Operations Development team within the Operations Department. The team consists of Project Managers and Capacity Partners. The Project Managers focus on timely execution of the supply chain work-packages for capacity expansion projects at either existing or new contract manufacturers. The Capacity Partners are responsible for ensuring balanced supply networks by making demand and supply balance decisions across tactical (S&OP process) and strategic horizons (Long-term Supply & Demand process). A strong focus on process standardization and optimization is essential in this role to ensure robustness and excellence within the team.
You will:
- Lead a team of 10 talented professionals, fostering performance, engagement, development, and ensuring robust processes and collaboration within the team.
- Set the strategic direction and be responsible for securing the readiness of GCMD future supply chains.
- Secure efficient collaboration and decision-making process involving a broad set of stakeholders internally in GCMD (New Product Introduction, Technical, Operations) and with central supply chain teams.
You will be an integral part of the Operations management team, together with 4 other managers and will report to the Director of Operations.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, we expect that you:
- Hold a master’s degree in business administration, supply chain management, economics or a related field.
- Show expertise in people management, leading teams, mobilizing organizations, driving agendas, and facilitating cross-functional collaboration. As a minimum you have 3-5 years of experience in people leadership roles.
- Possess strong problem-solving skills and the ability to understand, translate and communicate across a broad range of stakeholder including senior leadership.
- Preferably, you have experience in supply chain management and operations in an international environment.
- Ideally, you possess a GMP oriented mind-set, knowledge of the current regulatory requirements in the pharma & medical device manufacturing, experience working with CMO-s and insight into NN quality systems and but we are happy to consider candidates from other industries as well.
On top of these, you need to be fluent in both spoken and written English.
About the Department
Global Contract Manufacturing Devices is a unit in Novo Nordisk of over 200 colleagues managing a growing network of over 50 contract manufacturers, ensuring the delivery of high-quality components for medical devices to internal production sites. You will join the department of GCMD Operations, responsible for ensuring seamless collaboration across internal GCMD functions (Ops, Technical, Quality) towards our contracts manufacturers. The department is also in charge of securing long-term capacities and of supporting capacity expansion projects from an operations and supply chain perspective.
