The position
We are seeking a Cost Planning Project Manager to enhance our global finance organization by elevating financial planning and decentralized budgeting processes. You will become part of a small center of excellence team within the Data Strategy & Design group located in Copenhagen, Denmark.
This role presents an exciting opportunity to collaborate with a diverse range of stakeholders to optimize cost planning processes, design, and implement a sustainable integrated solution. The new cost planning approach will improve the budgeting experience across various departments at Novo Nordisk, aligning corporate budget consolidation with department-level planning for a seamless user experience and allowing finance and business partners to focus on strategic initiatives.
Some of your responsibilities will be:
- Identify and define a comprehensive set of business requirements by gaining in-depth understanding of the cost planning process.
- Drive the implementation and integration of the cost planning solution, collaborating with business requirement owners, end-users, and assigned developers.
- Serve as a liaison between Business Finance, HQ team assistants, and IT, translating technical language for a non-technical audience and vice versa.
- Establish a robust project governance structure and articulate a roll-out framework to ensure successful adoption of the new solution.
- Prepare and deliver regular updates to relevant stakeholders while managing the development pipeline and backlog for future enhancements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in economics, Business Administration, Business Analytics, IT or a related field.
- 2-5 years of experience as a business finance professional and/or project manager. To have experience in cost controlling or similar controlling areas, will be a great advantage.
- Ability to engage with colleagues and stakeholders at all levels of an organisation and actively drive cross-collaborative initiatives.
- Thrive on working in a dynamic environment, have a strong cultural understanding and exceptional communication skills.
- Experience with IT projects with internal or external developers (remote and onsite), as well as with any front-end tool in the finance data domain, will be taken in consideration.
As a person, you have a high degree of independence and high-quality mindset - can effectively plan, prioritise, execute, follow up in a proactive and timely manner. Your colleagues describe you as a great communicator and team player. Fluency in both, written and spoken English, is a requirement.
