The position
As a PLC Automation Engineer, you will be responsible for providing support and expertise in automation-related tasks across production. Your key responsibilities include troubleshooting the assembly lines and related IT/OT systems and implementing solutions. You will also participate in technical projects, including validation, production rebuilds, and optimization efforts, and collaborate with engineers, product owners, operators, technicians, and suppliers to drive technical improvements.
Main tasks:
- Provide expert support for automation and troubleshooting in a dynamic team of engineers, craftsmen, and technicians across four production lines, focusing on assembly line and IT/OT system enhancements.
- Ensure validated states and compliance with SOPs, leveraging skills in PLC programming and troubleshooting on Rockwell and other platforms, while maintaining meticulous audit readiness.
- Engage in technical projects and process optimization, including line upgrades, machine revamps, and new technology implementation, contributing to innovation and new product introductions.
- Collaborate with stakeholders for equipment problem-solving, utilizing strong communication skills to navigate complex challenges and ensure seamless integration of solutions.
- Maintain rigorous documentation and quality standards in line with GxP regulations, supporting both operational excellence and successful project outcomes.
You will join a facility that serves as a Centre of Excellence and a pivotal point of contact for the Global Manufacturing Network, actively engaging in both operational and developmental activities for today's and tomorrow's manufacturing advancements.
Qualifications
To succeed in this position, we imagine you have:
- Bachelor or Master’s degree in Engineering, Automation, Robotics, Mechatronics, Electrical, or related fields.
- Advanced automation skills (Rockwell PLC (or other PLCs), FactoryTalk View HMI, Servo motion), either from operations and maintenance, or from project participation.
- Fluent in English both oral and written. Danish is a great advantage.

About the Department
You will join Device Component Production (DCP) in Hillerød, Denmark. We are approximately 330 colleagues, working across two production units: Moulding Production and Pre-Assembly, where this team is located. In Pre-Assembly we produce the mechanical motor module in Novo Nordisk’s newest prefilled devices.
