Odoo Developer (CRM and ERP system developer)

At Bixter, we are building a digital ecosystem for international recruitment. It connects talent from around the world with employers in Europe, and brings in partners who provide services along the way, such as training, visas and arrival. Behind it sit our own operations, from sales and recruitment to training, contracts and invoicing. Today much of this runs by hand. We are moving it into one connected ERP system and we are developing a new CRM as well.

We are looking for an experienced Odoo developer who can build our system from scratch, customize it to our needs, implement automation and AI where relevant, and improve the way we actually work. You will also make sure our ecosystem of digital products is integrated and linked smoothly and securely.

This position is part of the Digital Products team and focuses on our internal digital products.

Please note that this position is onsite in Kolding, and this is a requirement.

Jobs to be done

  • Take ownership of our CRM and ERP in Odoo and develop them further, including custom modules, workflows and reports
  • Automate work with clear rules, such as approvals, reminders, status changes and document generation
  • Build algorithms where rules are not enough, such as scoring, prioritizing, forecasting and planning
  • Optimize, automate and use AI across our internal processes and systems
  • Connect Odoo to our platform and to external services through APIs and webhooks
  • Own data management in Odoo, including data models, data quality, clean-up, duplicates and clear rules for how data is entered and kept
  • Plan and carry out data migrations and imports, and keep data consistent between Odoo, our platform and other systems
  • Build privacy and GDPR into everything you develop
  • Keep our systems secure, with the right access for each role, secure integrations, backups, logging and regular updates, and keep the system stable as the company grows
  • Make sure AI features and tools handle personal data safely, and that no sensitive data is shared with outside services without the right agreements in place
  • Help colleagues use AI tools well, so they become part of everyday work

Requirements

  • Proven track record of developing CRM and ERP systems as a solo engineer
  • Strong Python and JavaScript skills, and good knowledge of the Odoo ORM, PostgreSQL, XML views and reports
  • Solid experience with data management, including data modelling, migrations, data quality and SQL
  • Hands-on experience with data privacy, GDPR and cybersecurity in business systems, such as access control, secure APIs, encryption and handling sensitive personal data
  • Experience building rule-based automations and workflows, in Odoo or with automation tools
  • Experience designing algorithms or data logic, such as scoring, prioritization or planning
  • Hands-on experience building with LLM APIs such as OpenAI or Claude in a real business setting, beyond a simple chat
  • Experience connecting systems through REST APIs and webhooks
