People & Culture Lead

Hybrid Greentech is growing fast. We are looking for a People & Culture Lead to build the people infrastructure for our next stage of growth: clear, practical, and close enough to the business to make scaling sustainable. This is a build-from-scratch role with real ownership: you shape how it's done, not just execute what's already decided.

Why this role matters

Hybrid Greentech is entering a new stage. We are increasing the volume on our platform, expanding internationally and building the operating backbone needed to become a market leader in flexibility and imbalance management.

Our work sits at the intersection of battery storage, flexible assets, VPP, BRP, retail, automated trading, software engineering and energy markets. That creates real operational complexity. Technical decisions, customer commitments, market execution and cross-functional collaboration must move together.

Due to our immense growth, our organisation requires further support and resources. The role requires someone experienced in understanding of how strategy execution and organisational capabilities go hand in hand, and can identify and mitigate gaps through a deeply empathetic understanding of people. Our People & Culture Lead will be responsible for ensuring and supporting the organisation in creating clearer roles, better onboarding, stronger leadership support, consistent people processes, useful documentation, and communication rhythms will help us scale without losing the speed, care and ambition that define us.

The role

As our People & Culture Lead, you will drive the practical people agenda across Hybrid Greentech. You will work closely with the top management, leaders across the business and selected external partners to make the employee journey more consistent and predictable.

This is a hands-on scale-up role. You will not inherit a large HR setup, however you will not be expected to solve everything alone. You will co-create, implement and build on existing lightweight structures that help our fast-moving organisation keep moving without relying on heroics, informal glue or decisions living in people’s heads.

The role also offers opportunities to take the lead on the tactical and strategic direction of how people and culture can support the overall strategic success of Hybrid Greentech.

The role suits someone who can build while the business is running. You know when to introduce structure, when to keep things simple and when to help leaders take the next step themselves. You can run with your own tasks without needing sign-off and approval, and still balance keeping core managers in the loop. Success means that people leaders lead better, new colleagues land well, employees know what is expected of them, and our people processes are trusted because they are clear, practical and alive.

What you will do

  • Understanding of and interest in strategy execution and ability to assess the organisation across multiple variables in order to identify gaps, recommendations and support the continuous development of high performance culture.
  • Build and drive the day-to-day momentum of the People & Culture program, keeping the roadmap coherent across culture, onboarding, development, performance, employer brand and people operations.
  • Build, run and improve core people processes across the employee journey, including recruitment, onboarding, role clarity, performance & compensation, people and organisational development, people policies and Danish employment law compliance, payroll coordination, and offboarding.
  • Lead selected hiring processes together with hiring managers, from role scoping and search strategy to job postings, sourcing, screening, candidate experience, interviews and structured evaluation.
  • Develop leadership in the organisation by supporting leaders in people-related situations, including feedback, team dynamics, performance concerns, role clarity, difficult conversations and follow-up on commitments.
  • Strengthen employment value proposition and brand to ensure fast scaling and hiring of the best talents in the market.
  • Lead performance, renumeration and promotion cycles to ensure organisation, capabilities and output are aligned with a growing company’s changing needs.
  • Keep the people operations infrastructure clean, fair and legally sound, including contracts, salary processes, people documentation and coordination with external support when needed.
  • Support and enrich a culture where high standards, care, direct communication and learning show up in daily decisions, not only in values or workshops.

What you bring

Experience and skills required

  • 5+ years of experience within People & Culture, HR, organisational development, talent acquisition or a closely related field.
  • Experience building or improving people processes in a growing organisation, preferably in a scale-up, technology, energy, consulting or another high-complexity environment.
  • Strong operational HR foundation, including recruitment, onboarding, employee documentation, people policies, salary or payroll coordination, manager support and follow-up processes.
  • Solid understanding of Danish employment law, employment contracts, and HR administration.
  • Proven ability to partner with leaders: supporting, challenging and clarifying without taking over their responsibility.
  • Experience driving recruitment processes hands-on, including role definition, sourcing or search coordination, candidate communication, structured interviews and hiring manager alignment.
  • Strong written and spoken English, with the ability to make sensitive or complex topics clear, respectful and actionable.
  • Good judgement in situations where there is no perfect process yet, and the ability to create enough structure to move forward.
  • A practical understanding of how culture is shaped through everyday behaviour, leadership habits, communication and follow-through.
  • Comfort working with technical teams and high-complexity subject matter, even when you are not the expert in the room.

Nice to have

  • Experience in running 360 assessments of leadership teams and general assessment methodology
  • Experience recruiting technical profiles such as engineers, software developers, or data scientists.
  • Experience from an international workplace, including work permits and relocation of international hires.
  • Experience from a company where roles, processes and leadership habits had to mature while the business kept moving.
  • Experience with employer branding, leadership development, internal communication, or employee engagement.
  • Danish language skills. English is required; Danish is helpful.
  • Interest in energy markets, battery storage, flexibility, automated trading or technology-driven infrastructure.

What we offer

  • The opportunity to build the People & Culture function from the ground up, with real ownership and a direct line to leadership.
  • Close collaboration with the leadership team and with specialists across analytics, trading, engineering, and commercial.
  • A company working at the forefront of shaping the new energy landscape.
  • A highly skilled international team based in Høje Taastrup, with strong commitment to both the work and each other.
  • Short decision lines and the ability to make useful changes without unnecessary bureaucracy.
