Launch Manager - Product Launch & Portfolio Transitions
At Oresund Pharma, we are building a fast-growing specialty pharmaceutical company where speed, accountability and execution matter. As our portfolio expands across markets, partners and products, we need a stronger structure around how we launch, change, transfer, and manage products across their lifecycle.
This includes new product launches, portfolio transfers, market expansions, SKU changes, variations, discontinuations, and major operational or regulatory-driven changes.
We are now looking for a Launch Manager - Product Launch & Portfolio Transitions to take ownership of our launch and portfolio change execution model. This is a newly established role reporting to the COO, with a clear mandate to bring structure, transparency, and momentum across the organization.
This is not a traditional coordination role. You will help build the way we launch, change, and manage products across markets.
Why this role
Product launches and portfolio changes are becoming increasingly important to our growth. Today, many activities are tracked manually and depend heavily on cross-functional follow-up. We want to move towards a more scalable setup with clear ownership, reliable data, better visibility, and faster decision-making.
Your role will be to ensure that every launch and major portfolio change has a clear plan, clear owners, clear risks and clear next steps - and that the organization keeps moving.
What you will be responsible for
- Drive launch and portfolio lifecycle execution
- Drive end-to-end planning and execution of new product launches, portfolio transfers, market entries, variations, SKU changes, discontinuations and major operational or regulatory-driven changes
- Maintain clear timelines, milestones, dependencies, risks and readiness status across products and markets
- Secure smooth handover into routine supply and operations, while challenging timelines to move faster without compromising quality or compliance
- Act as cross-functional project lead
- Lead planning, execution and decision-making across Regulatory Affairs, QA, Supply Chain, Commercial, Business Development and external partners
- Ensure clear ownership, follow-up and progress across teams without formal line authority
- Identify blockers early and escalate risks, delays and unresolved dependencies when needed
- Build structure, visibility and scalable ways of working
- Establish simple governance for launches and portfolio changes, including stage gates, readiness checks, decision points and handover criteria
- Maintain a consolidated launch and portfolio change overview across products, markets and lifecycle stages, including key priorities, risks and trade-offs
- Strengthen how launch data, SKU/VNR setup, master data and documentation are captured, shared and tracked
What success looks like
- A clear launch and portfolio change overview that enables faster and more predictable execution across products, markets and lifecycle stages
- Defined launch/change stages, owners, dependencies, decision points and handover criteria
- Better prioritisation and sequencing of launches and portfolio changes based on capacity, risk and business impact
- Better visibility of risks, delays and trade-offs before they become critical
- Stronger SKU/master data readiness before launch or major portfolio change
- A more scalable foundation than today’s manual Excel-based setup
What you bring
- Solid experience with product launches, portfolio changes, lifecycle management or cross-functional project management in the pharmaceutical industry
- Strong ability to lead cross-functional execution across Regulatory Affairs, QA, Supply Chain, Commercial, Business Development and external partners
- Proven ability to drive progress, alignment and decision-making without formal authority
- Strong understanding of how regulatory, quality, supply chain, commercial and partner dependencies impact launch and change timelines
- Good understanding of ERP systems, master data, SKU/item setup and operational processes
- Structured, persistent and pragmatic working style, with the ability to create clarity in complex settings
- Curiosity for improving tools, data flows and ways of working
What will help you thrive here
- You enjoy creating structure in complex, cross-functional settings
- You are comfortable working in a scale-up environment where processes are still evolving
- You combine strong follow-up with a pragmatic, solution-oriented mindset
- You can drive progress without formal authority and know when to escalate
- You balance speed, quality and compliance in a pharmaceutical environment
- You take ownership and follow things through to completion
Practical details
- Location: Copenhagen (HQ)
- Reporting line: COO
- Travel: Occasional travel within Europe
