PLM Manager - Drive PLM and Cross-Functional Documentation Processes

About the role

Key priorities for SAMSON GROUP are scalability, industrialization, and the standardization of work processes.

We are looking for a person to shape and optimize our internal processes across the entire product lifecycle — from engineering development and sales configuration to handover to production and traceability in our spare parts database.

You will be based at our headquarters in Viborg, Denmark, with frequent travel to our factory in Landivisiau, France. You will be reporting directly to the Group R&D Director, Søren Mejlstrup Jensen.

Key responsibilities

You will be responsible for the administrative ways of working in the development department as well as the cross-organizational processes towards sales, production, and spare parts documentation. You will play a key role in shaping future product data flow and act as the main owner of internal PLM-related workflows.

The key responsibilities are:

• Manage a team of dedicated people across sites.
• Own and develop PLM and downstream documentation processes.
• Ensure correct structure and release of BOMs, drawings, item master data, and documentation.
• Act as process owner for documentation flow from R&D to Manufacturing and Spare Parts.
• Support and enforce engineering change (ECR/ECO) workflows.
• Ensure alignment between PLM, ERP, and spare parts documentation systems.
• Coordinate crossfunctional stakeholders across R&D, Production, Planning, After Sales and IT.
• Improve data quality, standardization, and documentation workflows.

Professional qualifications

You probably have a background as a production engineer or similar. You have extensive knowledge of complex processes in a large multi-site/multi-cultural manufacturing company, which includes development, production, and sales. We expect you to have:

• Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, IT or similar.
• 3+ years of experience with PLM, product data, or technical documentation, including implementation work in a multi-site manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of BOM structures, product lifecycle and manufacturing documentation.
• Experience with complex product configurations.

Personal qualities

You might have leadership experience, but it could also be the next natural step in your career. You speak and write Danish and English fluently. We are looking for someone who can manage people and projects with a strong sense of overview, identify opportunities, and prioritize efforts where they create the most value.
