Role Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Purchasing Manager to lead purchasing activities at our site. This role is critical to ensuring the timely and cost-effective sourcing of raw materials, consumables, and services that support production and customer fulfillment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Team Leadership: Lead and develop a team of purchasing specialists, monitor KPIs and foster a culture of accountability and excellence.
  • Operational and Tactical Purchasing: Manage daily purchasing activities, supplier relationships, and ensure the availability of materials and services to meet production needs.
  • Planning & Forecasting: Align purchasing plans with sales forecasts and production capacity. Support S&OP processes to ensure supply meets demand.
  • Inventory Management: Optimize inventory levels, reduce aged stock, and improve turnover while maintaining service levels.
  • Customer Fulfillment: Ensure customer orders are delivered in full, on time, and to specification (DIFOT).
  • Continuous Improvement: Drive cost-saving initiatives and support lean manufacturing and CI programs.

Qualifications/Requirements

Formal Qualifications And Experience

  • University/Master’s degree in field of Supply Chain or similar (Preferably)
  • Minimum 3 years of purchasing experience
  • ERP, MRP, SAP, APO knowledge
  • Data analysis with strong Excel capabilities
  • Experience in optimizing the use of the ERP (nice to have)
  • Proven experience of leading change management activities successfully.
