The role and opportunities
In the Transaction Strategy and Execution team, we help clients shape, assess, and execute their transaction strategies end-to-end. From identifying synergies and conducting due diligence to enabling seamless integrations and carve-outs, we focus on protecting and enhancing deal value.
We work across the following diverse areas, with the opportunity to specialize as you progress:
Deal Strategy and Value Creation
Work alongside clients to formulate and realize their strategic objectives in an M&A context, by defining principles and setting priorities for their acquisition/divestment, support integrations and work with value creation projects. Hence, you will identify and analyze cost optimization and synergy opportunities and collaborate with the clients to design and implement them.
Buy & Integrate and Sell & Separate
Work on operational projects where you will collaborate with clients to realize the value of M&A by solving complex issues with multiple stakeholders. In these projects you will conduct due diligence on the quality of the operational functions, plan the integrations and separations and develop the operating models to ensure the strategic objectives are met.
Technology Due Diligence
Provide strategic advice within technology due diligence where you will assess technology infrastructure and provide advice on how to integrate or separate different technology systems in the context of a transaction. Furthermore, you will evaluate the potential of different emerging technologies and their potential in an M&A context.

Your profile
- You have an open and positive mindset. We are looking for people with a willingness to learn about strategic, tech and operational aspects of transactions. You have an interest in M&A and a ‘can do’ attitude.
- You are enthusiastic and collaborate well in teams. You are inclusive and recognize the value that different backgrounds and experiences bring to our work. You are passionate about people and wish to learn from and help develop those around you.
Qualifications:
- You have graduated in 2025 or are expected to graduate in 2026, holding a degree in economics, finance, IT, business administration, engineering, or similar.
- You have proficiency in English and preferably another European language.
- Ideally, you can demonstrate a track record of relevant professional and/or extracurricular activities, e.g., student job, volunteering, internship, semester abroad etc.

- Describe your motivation for joining the TSE Team in Copenhagen.
- Describe a time you worked with others to solve a complex problem. What was your role and what did you learn?
- Assessment: Upon receipt of your application, you will be provided with a link to our assessment within a few days. The assessment takes about 20 minutes.
- Phone call: If selected, we will make a short, introductory phone conversation regarding your motivation, our team and the role.
- Interviews: Selected candidates will be invited to a personal interview at our office, including a case you prepare from home. If you proceed, you will get invited to a second, more detailed interview, with a case that won’t require any prior preparation. Lastly, a final interview with a Partner, prior to us offering you a position.
