Terms and Privacy Policy (Valid from March 10, 2026)
The terms and conditions for Jobindex follows below:
Jobindex is a part of the lives of many people who wants to either find or be found for a new job. You can use our services in a number of different ways. As a data controller, we collect and process a range of personal data on you in connection with your use of Jobindex’s services.
It is therefore important to us that you take the time to read this privacy policy in which we will inform you about how we process your personal data. This privacy policy explains what information we collect and to whom we may disclose your personal data. When you use Jobindex’s services, you get a personal user profile which is your starting point for obtaining all of the services available through Jobindex. As such, you will not be anonymous to us — we have to be able to help you use the services, after all — but you can remain anonymous to recruitment agencies if you wish.
Data and processing personal information are in our DNA and we have always taken good care of information of this nature. We understand how important it can be to remain anonymous until the time you resign/change jobs. You can therefore remain confident that we process your data in a secure, confidential and (for you) transparent manner.
The data controller
The data controller is:
Jobindex A/S
Carl Jacobsens Vej 29-31
DK-2500 Valby
Denmark
Email: info@jobindex.dk
CBR: 21367087
Data collection on Jobindex is conducted within the framework of current legislation.
User profile
When you create a user profile or have one created automatically by registering for one of our services, we will save your email address and — if you have provided it — contact information such as your name and address. You can add in more information as well as receive suggestions of companies to follow, view jobs you have saved, modify your Job Agent(s), view/subscribe to newsletters and much more.
The purpose of registering is of course so that Jobindex can offer you services that are as relevant to you as possible, and since your user profile is your starting point for obtaining all of your services from us, it is a good idea to keep it updated.
The corrections/updates you make to your user profile (e.g. entering a new email) will be applied to other services (e.g. on your CV with us or the form you can reuse when applying online), so you only need to make changes in one place.
Documents
At Documents you can see and manage all your saved documents. You can uploade the file formats doc, docx and pdf. The max file size is 16.00 MB. You can upload as many documents as you wish.
You can access these documents when applying for a job via Jobindex’ application system. Documents attached to your CV or QuickApply profile will automatically be saved at ‘Documents’. Documents attached via the application system will not be saved.
Deleting your user profile
When you decide to delete your user profile, it will be marked for deletion for three months. After this period, it will be permanently deleted. The reason we do this is to minimise the risk of deleting it accidentally. Please keep in mind that if you delete your user profile, you will also delete all other services such as your CV, Job Agent(s), Jobindex QuickApply profile etc.
How to change/delete your user profile
You can delete your information at any time by logging in at Your page. We will then only store the personal data which we may be obligated to store under current legislation.
CV
When you enter a CV into our CV database, the CV and your information will be registered and stored. The purpose of registering this data is to enable companies interested in your qualifications to contact you through the Jobindex CV database.
If you do not log into your user profile or update your CV for six months, you will be considered inactive and your CV will be taken offline. We do this to ensure that the CVs on Jobindex are as relevant and up-to-date as possible. Before your CV is taken offline, we will send you a reminder so that you have time to update your CV or extend the length of time it stays online.
Personal information in your CV
By default, all information in your CV is visible to companies.
If you don’t want to be recognized, you need to hide all your personal information and not enter any information that could identify you – e.g. in your presentation or job descriptions.
At “Privacy settings” you can choose who can see your personal information, including name, picture, phone number, postal code, employers, educational institutions, documents, links and personal presentation.
Your email address is always hidden.
When a company wants to get in touch with your CV
If the company wishes to contact you via your CV, you will be notified via Jobindex. If you are interested, you can choose to start a dialogue.
It is not a requirement that you respond to the enquiry. You can choose to leave the enquiry unanswered. The company will be able to see that you have read the enquiry and decided to leave it unanswered.
If you start a dialogue with a company, the company becomes the independent data controller for the processing of your personal data. Jobindex is not responsible for the company’s processing of your personal data.
If you accept the enquiry
If you accept the enquiry, the company gets access to your email address. Hidden information in your CV will remain hidden.
The company will be able to see your email address and any other contact information for 90 days. At ”Companies” you can see all companies that currently have access to your contact information.
If you decline the enquiry
If you decline the enquiry, the company does not get access to your email address. Hidden information in your CV will remain hidden.
Your professional background remains anonymised, and any attached documents are unavailable. If you want the company to have access to this information, you must share your CV in non anonymous form. You do this by following the company. (Read more about following a company).
When Jobindex contacts your CV on behalf of a company
The company can also ask Jobindex to contact you on their behalf. We will contact you either in writing or by telephone.
When we contact you in writing, it works in the same way as described in “When a company wants to get in touch with your CV”. The company can see that we have contacted your CV, but hidden information remains hidden.
You can give feedback to Jobindex to say if the job is a match. Your feedback is shared with the company. Any messages you write to Jobindex is, however, not shared with the company. .
Jobindex can also contact you by telephone – unless you have chosen to hide your telephone number.
Feedback given by telephone is shared with the company, but your personal information is not shared. The company only receives information regarding industry, education and if the job is relevant to you.
Opening rate registration
When you receive enquiries, we register whether you read the enquiry - i.e. if you click on the link or open the enquiry via "Your page".
The purpose is to show you unread messages, collect statistics and customise enquiries based on your previously opened messages.
How to change your reply to a CV contact
You can give feedback up to the time when the enquiry expires. This happens after 90 days, or when the advert is closed for applications.
If you have provided feedback before the enquiry expires, you can change or withdraw the feedback until the enquiry becomes inaccessible after 2 years. The enquiry will become inaccessible to both you and the company.
Messages sent in connection with the enquiry are deleted from Jobindex’s systems after 2 years.
If you don’t want to be contacted
If you want to take a break from being contacted, you can take your CV offline. If there’s a specific company you don’t want to see your CV and contact you, you can block the company.
Offline CV
When your CV is offline, it won’t show in the CV database unless you follow the company (see the section “Follow a company”).
Jobindex can still contact you via your offline CV. If you don’t want to be contacted by Jobindex, you must delete your CV. You can download your CV and upload it to “Documents” to easily activate your CV later.
Note: If your CV has been offline for 5 years, Jobindex and companies you follow can no longer search for or access your CV.
Blocking a company
If you block a company, they can no longer see your CV or contact you. And Jobindex cannot contact you on behalf of the blocked company.
If you have already replied to an enquiry, the company can still see your reply, even if you’ve blocked the company afterwards.
If you follow the company, this will not change; you will still receive news and it will not change earlier expressions of interests or applications.
Latest activity
On your CV we show the date you were last active.
The 'last active' date is when you last visited Jobindex (via website or app) and logged in.
Inactivity
If you haven’t updated your CV for 6 months, you’re considered inactive and your CV goes offline.
You update your CV by changing something or altering your CV status (online/offline). We will send you a reminder before your CV goes offline.
We delete after 5 years of inactivity
If your CV hasn’t been updated for 5 years, we consider it outdated. You will get a reminder beforehand, so you’ll have a chance to update. If you don’t update, your CV will be deleted.
How to change or elete your CV
You can edit or delete your CV via “Your page”.
If you want to delete all your information, you need to delete your profile – not just the CV. We will then only store the information that we are legally obliged to.
How to change your reply to a CV enquiry
You can give feedback up to the time when the enquiry expires. This happens after 90 days, or when the advert is closed for applications. If you have provided feedback, you can change or withdraw the feedback until the enquiry becomes inaccessible after 2 years.
Messages sent in connection with the enquiry are deleted from Jobindex’s systems after 2 years.
CVs with illegal content
We reserve the right to change the information you have entered in cases where it comes to our attention that your CV contains illegal or inaccurate information. We will notify you of such changes.
You may not enter or upload sensitive personal information such as religion, race, political affiliations, professional affiliations, sexual orientation or health information. If we become aware of such information, we will remove it.
If you have a secret address or secret telephone number, these may not be entered or uploaded.
Your CPR number may not be entered or appear in uploaded documents.
Get a gift from Jobindex
If you have been contacted through the CV database and the enquiry resulted in a new job, you can request a free gift from Jobindex.
The gift must be requested no later than 90 days after your employment with the company. Request the gifthere.
CV counselling
When you choose to sign up for CV counselling, Jobindex will call you during the agreed time slot. You will then give a Jobindex employee permission to log in to your profile via our internal system - without you having to provide your password.
We will update or create a CV with you. Finally, we set your CV to 'offline', allowing you to check the CV yourself and publish it.
In connection with your registration for CV counselling, we store the contact details you provide in connection with your registration. The contact information is stored in the registration system for 5 years + the current year, after which it is deleted.
Registrations and notes in the CV database
Jobindex registers which employers and recruitment agencies that read each CV and which candidates they contact, along with all emails that are sent through the system.
The CV database also includes a function that gives recruitment agencies and temporary employment agencies the option of adding comments and notes to CVs for their own, internal use. Jobindex’s own recruitment department also functions as a recruitment agency and can thus also add comments and notes to CVs.
Follow a company
When you follow a company, they will be able to see your CV in the CV-database – even if your CV is offline. Hidden information will remain hidden.
If you have a Job Agent, the company will be able to see whether the criteria from the Job Agent match one of their job ads. You will also receive news and other relevant info from the company/companies you follow.
You can change which companies you follow at any time by logging into Your page
Show interest in a job
When you show interest in a job, you allow the company to contact you. If you have a CV, it will be visible to the company – also if it’s offline. The company can contact you through the CV database.
You can stop showing interest in a job at any time. You can do so by logging into Your page, choosing Saved jobs, clicking on the three dots to the right of the job.
Jobindex’s Application System
How to Apply
When you start your application, you will be asked to enter your name and email address.
If you already have a Jobindex profile, we recommend that you log in. We will then automatically retrieve the information you have previously registered.
If you do not already have a user profile, we will create one for you. You must confirm the profile via a link sent to you by email before you can complete your application.
The company may also initiate the application on your behalf if you have sent it to them by email. You will receive an email when the application has been created, and you must then complete it yourself.
Incomplete Applications
If you have started but not completed an application, you will receive a reminder when the application deadline closes. You then have 24 hours to finish the application.
Who Can See Your Information?
Your application data is treated confidentially and shared only with the individuals involved in the recruitment process.
You should avoid providing sensitive information (e.g. about health, race, sexual orientation or criminal matters) unless it is relevant to the position or explicitly requested.
How We Process Your Data
We store the information you enter in the application form, the documents you attach, and any communication you exchange within the system. We also store a history of the jobs you have applied for. Information about gender and date of birth is used only for statistical purposes.
The purpose is to assess your application and contact you if you are relevant for the position – or for other similar positions.
We May Contact You About Other Jobs
If your qualifications match other available positions, Jobindex may contact you by email or phone. You can always decline without it affecting your opportunities in other recruitment processes.
How to Edit or Delete an Application
You can log in to “Your Page” at any time to edit or delete your information.
Please note that if a recruitment process is ongoing – or has just concluded – legal requirements may mean that we are temporarily unable to delete your information. In such cases, we will inform you when deletion becomes possible.
How Long Do We Store Your Information?
Applications for a Specific Position
The application is deleted 12 months after the recruitment process has concluded.
Incomplete Applications
Applications that are not confirmed and submitted to the company are automatically deleted 24 hours after the application deadline has closed.
Unsolicited Applications
The application is deleted 6 months after you have submitted it.
(If the recruitment is subject to Swedish legislation, we store application documents for 2 years in accordance with the right to file a complaint under the Swedish Discrimination Act.)
QuickApply profile
Create an QuickApply profile
If you apply for a position online, you will often be asked a series of standard questions during the application process, which in addition to email and contact details may include education and most recent job. In addition, a CV is often requested.
By filling out a reusable form, you only need to enter in all of your information one time and save it. You can then give permission for the information to be transferred to the application system. This is what we call a Jobindex QuickApply profile.
When you apply, you will see the button “Apply with Jobindex”, after which you give permission for your data - and any attached CV - to be automatically transferred to the application system.
Who can see my application information?
When you give permission to apply with your Jobindex QuickApply profile, the company will have access to the information you have entered into your QuickApply profile, i.e. your name, address, date of birth, phone number, most recent job, educational background and highest level completed and your email address. If you have attached a CV, the company will also have access to it.
However, only the information requested by the company will be disclosed; if no information is required about, for example, education, we will not disclose this information.
In such case, the company will act as the independent data controller for all processing of your personal data undertaken by the company.
When Jobindex contacts your QuickApply profile on behalf of a company
You can choose to give Jobindex permission to contact you on behalf of a company - based on the information you have entered in your QuickApply profile.
On the QuickApply profile, you can give - and withdraw - permission by checking the box "Allow Jobindex to contact you regarding jobs based on your QuickApply profile."
We will contact you either in writing via your user profile and/or by phone at the phone number you have provided in your QuickApply or user profile.
The company cannot see the information on your QuickApply profile and will only be informed about your idustry and educational background and whether it is the type of job you are looking for.
How to change your response to a QuickApply enquiry
You can leave feedback until the enquiry expires. This happens after 90 days.
If you have provided feedback before the enquiry expires, you can change or withdraw feedback until the enquiry becomes unavailable. The feedback becomes inaccessible after 2 years for both you and the company.
Messages sent in connection with the enquiry will be deleted from Jobindex's systems after 2 years.
How to change/delete your QuickApply profile
If you want to edit, remove or delete your information, you can go to Your page at any time using your username and password. Note that changes or deletion of information during a recruitment process that is already underway, as well as for a certain period of time after the completion of the process, may not be allowed for legal reasons. In this case we will inform you when your information can be deleted or changed.
When we delete
When you decide to delete your Jobindex QuickApply profile, your QuickApply profile will be marked for deletion for three months. It will then be permanently deleted. The reason we do this is to minimise the risk of deleting it accidentally.
Vvideo interview via the Jobindex video system
When you make a video interview
If you have applied for a job, you may be invited to make a video interview. To access your personal video interview, you will be asked to log in to your Jobindex profile for the online application in question using your username and password.
When you click the link to the video interview, you land on a personal page where only you can see the recorded video questions, and you can record your personal answers.
You can play and record videos on a computer, tablet or smartphone as long there is Internet connection and a web camera and microphone.
The first question will always be a general presentation video, which you can choose to save for later use in other video interviews, to which you get invited by Jobindex. Next the video interview itself appears.
Every response has a maximum length, which is stated immediately below the ‘Record Your Answer’ button. The length can vary from question to question. On a computer it is possible to keep track of how much recording time you have left, and the video recording stops automatically at the cut-off point. If you record more than the maximum length on a tablet or smartphone, the video will be automatically truncated at the maximum length, and the other video material will be deleted when you click on ‘Use Video’.
You can only ‘submit’ your video responses when you have answered all the questions. It is not possible for anyone other than you to view your video material before you have pressed ‘Submit Videos’.
Who can see your video interview?
Your video interview will be treated confidentially and will only be used by the person/s involved in the recruitment process. In other words, only Jobindex and the company seeking a member of staff have access to the video.
How we process your data from the video interview
Jobindex stores the video interview and the personal information you have provided in the video. We also store the history of which video interviews you have started and completed.
Where is your information stored?
The video interview is stored in Jobindex’s systems and the following services: Amazon Web Services and Addpipe. When the video is recorded on the Jobindex website, it is sent to Addpipe and from there to Amazon Web Services. Addpipe does not store personal information and the video is deleted as soon as it is forwarded. Amazon Web Services stores the video until it is deleted by Jobindex. See more under ‘How We Delete’.
How to amend/delete your video interview
You can re-record your answers as many times as you like, and you can choose to import already recorded videos from your library. You can also save your videos along the way and come back later. You can constantly keep track your progress on the site.
Note that once you press ‘Submit Videos’ it will no longer be possible to change or delete your recorded videos.
If you want to delete your video interview after you submit the material, you will have to delete the entire application.
When you want to edit a presentation video, you can go to Your page. If you decide to delete your presentation video, it will be marked for deletion for three months. After this period, it will be permanently deleted. The reason we do this is to minimise the risk of deleting it accidentally.
How we delete
The video interviews you have made via our system are deleted 12 months after the end of the recruitment process. If it is a recruitment that is subject to Swedish law, we will save the video for two years according to the right of appeal in the Swedish Discrimination Act.
Your presentation video will not be deleted before you delete it or you delete your entire user profile.
Personality test and Talent test
If you have applied for a position, the company may ask Jobindex to invite you to take a personality type or talent test.
The personality type test provides insight into how you gather information and make decisions and how you interact with others.
The talent test provides an overview of your strongest work talents and the areas that energize you.
You are not required to take the test - it is voluntary - and you can opt out when you receive the invitation.
Jobindex recruitment consultants will give you verbal feedback on your test result over the phone or via an online meeting.
Your test result will be shared with the company
The test will be used in connection with your application for a job at a specific company and the result will be shared with that company. The invitation will state which company it is.
How we process your test result
Jobindex stores your test result and thus the information you have provided in the test. We also store a history of which tests you have started and completed.
Where is your information stored?
The test result is stored in Jobindex's systems. If you have taken a talent Test, the result will also be stored with the supplier of the test, Talents Unlimited.
How we delete
Personality type test
The result of the personality type test is saved on your application in Jobindex's online application system. The test result is deleted together with the application 12 months after the end of the recruitment process.
Talent test
The test result is stored by Jobindex for up to 6 weeks, after which it is marked for deletion for 1 month. It is then permanently deleted. Deletion includes both Jobindex's systems and the systems of the talent test provider, Talents Unlimited.
When the company receives your test result, the company becomes an independent data controller for the processing of your personal data and deletion will take place in accordance with the company's privacy policies.
Job Agent
When you create one or more Job Agents, we store the preferences you have selected. We also register which job adverts you click on via the Job Agent. We do this to send you relevant job opportunities and to improve our service.
How to edit or delete your Job Agents
You can edit, adjust, or delete your Job Agents at any time via Your page.
How we handle deletion
When you choose to delete a Job Agent, it will first be marked for deletion for 3 months. After this period, the Job Agent will be permanently deleted. This is to minimise the risk of unintended deletions.
If you do not click on any adverts in a Job Agent for 6 months, we consider it inactive, and it will be deleted. We do this to avoid sending unwanted emails to your inbox. Before a Job Agent expires, we will send you a reminder so you have the opportunity to extend it.
AI search assistant
The AI search assistant is a chatbot based on artificial intelligence that helps you search for jobs. The AI search assistant can be accessed from the front page or our search engine.
You decide whether the search assistant should use data from your profile.
You should not enter personal information such as your name or contact details. Please also note that it is not permitted to enter sensitive information such as criminal records or health information.
The AI model is provided by the company Anthropic, and we therefore forward the information to Anthropic.
Information from your profile
If you choose to use your profile in the search assistant, your city, current and previous job titles, current and previous education, and skills will be used.
How we process your data from the search assistant
Jobindex stores a copy of all chat messages for 90 days. We do this to ensure quality, and it is necessary in order to send information to the search results and Anthropic.
Where is your information stored?
Information entered into the search assistant is stored in Jobindex's systems and at Anthropic. Jobindex also stores statistical information about who has used the functionality.
How to edit/delete
Once the message has been sent to the search assistant, it cannot be edited or deleted manually.
How we delete
Jobindex deletes messages to and from the search assistant after 90 days.
Anthropic deletes the information after 30 days.
Surveys
Jobindex conducts regular surveys to gather knowledge about the labour market. If you participate in a survey by answering the questions, this is considered as consent for us to process your data. Jobindex is the data controller and under the section Your rights you can see what rights you have when we process information about you.
Who can see your answer?
Your answer will be treated confidentially and shared only with others in anonymous form. Only Jobindex's analysis department can see your personal data (e.g. email address).
Where is your information stored?
We process your personal data and responses through SurveyXact by Ramboll, which is the data processor.
How to delete your response
You can withdraw your consent and have your response deleted at any time. Write to us at dpo@jobindex.dk or call 72 45 90 56.
How we delete
Personal data that can identify individuals (e.g. email address) will be deleted immediately once the analysis is complete.
Newsletter
When you sign up for the newsletters, Jobindex saves your email address. If you have a user profile at Jobindex, the registration is linked to the data stored about you in the profile.
You can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time by clicking "Unsubscribe" at the bottom of the email.
Jobindex uses data from the registration and the information about you in the user profile to target the content of the newsletter so that it is as relevant to you as possible.
When you receive the newsletters, we record whether you open the email and which articles you click. The purpose is to be able to deliver the newsletter and bring you news that is as relevant as possible, as well as to market Jobindex's surveys, events, etc.
Participation in events
When you register for an event or webinar, Jobindex collects information about your participation in the form of your contact information (e.g. email address, name and telephone number). We process this information with the primary interest of being able to register participants, administer the event and send out relevant material, evaluation forms, etc.
The contact information is stored in the registration system for five years plus the current year, after which it is deleted.
It may also happen that situational photos are taken during the event for use by Jobindex's own media, e.g. newsletters and social media. When participating in a webinar/hybrid meeting, the event is recorded, and if you choose to participate with a microphone/video, you must be aware that you will be included in the video.
When you respond to a pop-up with user feedback
Jobindex continuously conducts user surveys through the use of pop-up boxes. The purpose is to collect statistics to improve the user experience of our systems.
Where is your information stored?
We store your response together with data about your user profile. The purpose is to be able to identify if you have answered the pop-up box. The purpose is also to statistically measure the development of the user experience over time.
Who can see your response?
Your response will be treated confidentially and only Jobindex's development department can see your information in relation to the response.
Be contacted about your feedback
If you agree to be contacted about your response, we will contact you by email or phone regarding your response. The purpose is to be able to ask follow-up questions about your response.
How to delete your response
You can delete your response at any time. Write to us at support@jobindex.dk or call us on +45 38 32 33 33 55.
How we delete
Your answer is stored together with your user profile for 6 months. After that, any comments will be deleted, as well as the answer's association with your user profile.
Jobindex AI systems
Jobindex wants our systems to ensure that all jobseekers have equal access to apply for jobs and that our CV-match does not contain bias.
In 2020, Jobindex, together with the University of Copenhagen and Aalborg University in Copenhagen, was granted DKK 7 million from Innovation Fund Denmark for a research project called Jobmatch, which will match candidates and companies using artificial intelligence. The project was completed in early 2024 and is now in use.
The project will be continued in the form of a new 3-year project called Fair Match, which will be carried out in collaboration with the IT University of Copenhagen to help ensure that there is no unfair bias in the recommendations from Jobindex.
The systems will be used to provide suggestions to the human recruiters, so we will have better opportunities to investigate and avoid inherent bias. Even professional recruiters can have unconscious bias that they don't even realise they have.
Jobindex AI systems do not make automatic decisions about employee selection.
How is your information used?
In the work of developing and operating the AI systems, your information will be used in the form of your user profile, CV and job search history. We also use inferred information that is created from the information we have about you. For example, ethnicity is used to identify if there is bias in the work of the recruitment consultants.
The information will not be used to make automatic decisions, it is only used to guide, guide and measure bias.
If you choose to delete your user profile and associated data, the information used will be anonymised.
You can at any time gain insight into what information we have about you, including inferred information. To exercise your right of access, please contact us at dpo@jobindex.dk.

Ratings on Jobindex
When can you write a rating?
Ratings are reserved for employees with actual experience working with current companies. You can write a rating when you:
- Work or have worked full time or part time as a permanent employee, student worker or volunteer for a company, organisation, Internet service or similar entity
- Have concluded an employment contract with the company.
Below we use the term “employment experience” as a collective term for the two aforementioned situations. In addition, the following conditions apply:
- You must only write about your own employment experience, i.e. you must not write a rating on behalf of a family member, friend or other person
- You can only write one rating per company, but you can always delete your rating and create a new one that reflects your most recent experience with the company
What should you write about?
When you write a rating, it should reflect your own, personal employment experience. We encourage you to focus on relevant matters in relation to your overall employment experience. While constructive criticism is acceptable, belittling statements and personal attacks on people by name will be reported and may be removed.
Not all companies can be rated
Companies that do not advertise – nor previously have – on Jobindex cannot be rated. In addition, we allow companies to opt out of all ratings if they wish to do so. This means that companies cannot opt out of individual ratings but must opt out of the visibility of all.
There may be different reasons why a company deselects the visibility of its ratings, e.g. in case of economic change, resource issues or similar. However, we always recommend companies to have visible ratings and to use them as a tool in working with their employees and working environment.
When will Jobindex remove your rating?
We will remove your rating if we find your rating to be in violation of our terms or current legislation. Both companies and users can report ratings that they believe to be in violation of our terms or current legislation. If your rating is reported, it will be hidden while we review the report. If your rating violates our terms or legislation, it will be removed. If it does not violate our terms or legislation, your rating will be re-published.
We will review your rating if it is reported for one of the following reasons:
- The content of your rating is purely based on ethical, political and/or values-based views as opposed to an employment experience.
- Your rating contains injurious remarks or does not comply with current legislation or our terms.
- Your rating contains aggressive or coarse language, is gender-discriminatory or racist.
- The content of your rating is purely based on ethical, political and/or values-based views as opposed to an employment experience
- Your rating contains injurious remarks or does not comply with current legislation or our terms
- Your rating contains aggressive or coarse language or is gender-discriminatory or racist
If your rating reveals personal details about an individual, including the person’s name, address, phone number, email address, credit card information or other types of information that could be used to track, identify, contact or impersonate the person, we will remove your rating. If your rating is nothing but an attack on a person by name or contains information about an individual, we will also remove your rating.
You also acknowledge that we will remove your rating if references to other companies and websites, including links, are made.
As a rule, we will not remove ratings from our Company Profiles, but should your rating violate our terms or current legislation, we reserve the right to remove your rating. Provided below are a number of examples of cases in which we would remove your rating.
We will remove your rating if it contains:
- Injurious statements
- Coarse language
- Disclosure of information about individuals
- Disclosure of information that makes individuals identifiable
- Matters other than employment
- Statements regarding breaches of law
- Statements regarding discrimination
- Statements regarding unjustified termination
- Statements regarding unpaid wages
- Specific salaries
We also remove your rating if:
- You indicate that you have not worked in the company
- You have used the comment fields incorrectly by placing a negative comment in the field for positive comments
- You do not document your employment within a given deadline
- You have rated the same company twice or more
- The company you rate documents that certain statements are factually incorrect.
Other scenarios where we remove your rating:
- Your rating violates the rights of other people or companies, including their intellectual property rights
- Your rating resembles marketing or is intended as marketing
- You are a competitor of the company you evaluated
To avoid misunderstandings, we would like to emphasise that we will not remove your rating if:
- Your rating and the number of stars you gave do not appear to be consistent, e.g. if you only gave the company a single star, but you wrote a very positive rating for the company.
- The company believes that your rating is unfair – any dissatisfaction you may have is based purely on your own subjective experience and it is not our job to decide whether your dissatisfaction is warranted or not, and such issues should be resolved between the parties involved, i.e. you and the company
- The company you evaluated is acquired by a new owner
When will Jobindex ask you to document your employment and what do you need to submit?
If we, other users or the company suspect(s) that you were not employed by the company which you rated, we may ask you to send us more detailed information about your employment with the company within a certain deadline. This may, for example, be information about the employment period and the name of your department or immediate supervisor.
If the requested information is not submitted before the deadline, the rating will be removed.
Fabricated ratings
The purpose of our ratings is for you to be able to share your employment experience and thereby give an informative and accurate picture of your current or former workplace. Trust is crucial to us, which is why we will not accept fabricated ratings, i.e. ratings that do not describe an actual employment experience e.g. because the rating was made by or for the company.
Ratings that we deem false, fabricated or otherwise untrue will be reported and removed, and you may be immediately blocked from evaluating workplaces.
If you suspect that a rating was fabricated, we encourage you to bring it to our attention. We take all reports of suspected fabricated ratings very seriously and will investigate them. Since this is not an easy task, we ask that you provide as much evidence as possible to substantiate your assumption that the rating has been fabricated.
Coordinated ratings
If we consider your rating to be fully or partially coordinated with other users' ratings, we reserve the right to remove the coordinated ratings as they may give a wrong picture of the workplace.
If ratings are coordinated and not statistically independent, we cannot be sure that the ratings give a statistically accurate picture of the workplace. That is why we do not want coordinated ratings – whether it is employees or the company itself that coordinates them.
Ratings are assessed as coordinated if they have been made within a narrow time frame or have identical wording.
When will Jobindex block your user profile?
We may block you from being able to evaluate workplaces if you misuse our service, e.g. if you overuse the reporting function, publish fabricated ratings, post spam or marketing materials or violate our terms or current legislation.
What does being blocked from writing ratings entail?
Being blocked from evaluating workplaces means that we will either block you from being able to write and report ratings for a specific company or, in the event that you commit extensive violations, we will block you from being able to write and report ratings for any company. In both cases, you will still be able to use the other services on Jobindex.
Misusing the report function
You, other users and companies all have the ability to report ratings that you believe fail to comply with our terms or current legislation. You must not misuse the report function as we consider such misuse to be in violation of our terms. One example of misusing the function would be:
- Unfounded or incorrect reporting of many or all of the positive ratings for a company that you had a bad employment experience with
