In connection with our Novo Nordisk foundation challenge grant ‘Energy Materials for the GUT (EMGUT)’ we are looking for a PhD student to work with textile-based smart materials to be used in ingestible devices. The textiles will be used to harvest, store or convert energy for sensing, drug release or gut sampling.
You will be responsible for designing and fabricating textile materials (e.g. knit) that can be applied in triboelectric energy harvesting. We will among others explore how to store the harvested energy and how to release it upon a trigger (enzymatic, or external source).
