External lecturer for “Pregnancy, Birth, and Infancy in Denmark”

Copenhagen

This course examines how the Danish healthcare system cares for mother and child from conception through pregnancy into early childhood. Emphasis is placed on three major areas: medical aspects of a healthy pregnancy including birth and postnatal care, services provided by the welfare system, and cultural values inherent in this system.

Main tasks and responsibilities

  • Classroom teaching and other experiential learning activities
  • Student assessment, grading and feedback throughout the course
  • Teaching Spring (mid-January – mid May) and Fall (mid-August – mid December) semesters
