How long is the duration of a temporary employment?
It depends. The duration of a temporary employment can vary from a half a day to prolonged temporary employments, such as temporary vacancy during maternity leave.
What is the wage level as a temporary worker
The salary depends on you qualifications and on the job. As a temporary worker you will be paid by the hour, and the hourly wage varies from agency to agency.
Can I choose, if I want to accept an offered temporary employment?
Yes, it is up to you if you accepted an offered temporary employment.
Can I be a part of multiple temporary job agencies?
Yes you can. There is no boundaries and it only increases you chance to get a temporary employment as quickly as possible.
Who should I contact if I get sick?
You should as quickly as possible notify sickness to your contact person at the temporary employment agency, who will further inform the client. Sickness benefit will be paid according to applicable rules.
Do I get holiday allowance as a temporary worker?
All temporary workers are entitled to holiday allowance. You will get a holiday card and the temporary employment agency you work for will sign the holiday card.
Do I get pensions as a temporary worker?
It will depend on whether the temporary employment agency you work for has a collective agreement.
How long of a period of notice do I have as a temporary employee?
If it is you, that terminates the employment, the following is applicable:
- You have been employed for 0-3 months as a temporary worker: The period of notice is as arranged, otherwise no period of notice.
- You have been employed for 0-3 months with a trial period: The period of notice is as arranged (max 14 days). If nothing is arranged, no period of notice.
- In all other cases: A month until the end of the month. You cannot resign your employment e.g. the 15th in a month.
If it is the employer, that want to terminate the employment:
- You have been employed for 0-3 months as a temporary worker: The period of notice is as arranged, otherwise no period of notice.
- You have been employed for 0-3 months with a trial period: The period of notice is as arranged, but minimally 14 days.
- You have been employed for 0-6 months without a trial period: The period of notice is a month for the first six months.
- You have been employed for 6 months-3 years: The period of notice is three months.
