The aim is to understand how the lipid environment influences the activity of membrane proteins, using active transporters as benchmark systems, and to investigate the dynamic fluctuations between lipid and protein in solution and using state of the art biophysical methods and enzyme kinetic methods.

Our research is concerned with auditory signal processing and perception, speech communication, audiology, behavioural and objective measures of auditory function, computational auditory neuroscience, environmental acoustics, and hearing-instrument signal processing.
The goal of this research is to understand the functioning of the human auditory system and to provide insights that are useful for technical applications, such as speech recognition systems, hearing aids, cochlear implants, and hearing diagnostics.

The problem of fluid distribution is relevant to a number of tight petroleum reservoirs in the North Sea, especially Valdemar and neighboring Adda. Indefiniteness in the lateral variation of the hydrocarbon composition is an important factor affecting prospective development of these tight Lower Cretaceous reservoirs.
The PhD student should be responsible for analysis of the reservoir data and modelling the fluid distribution in the petroleum reservoirs. Advanced thermodynamic and mathematical models will be applied and tested on the reservoir data the problem is both directly practical and deeply theoretical.

The Center for Microbial Secondary Metabolites, CeMiSt, is one of 10 new Centers of Excellence funded by the Danish National Research Foundation. The Center started 1st of January 2018 and will run for six years with an option for a four-year extension.
We seek a candidate for a three-year Ph.D. scholarship in the area of molecular microbial ecology to study the role of secondary metabolites produced by fluorescent Pseudomonads in microbial soil Communities.
The purpose of the PhD project is to unravel the role(s) of fluorescent Pseudomonads and their secondary metabolites in the development of microbial soil communities. Although fluorescent Pseudomonads are producers of a variety of secondary metabolites, little is known of how these molecules influence the microbial diversity and functionality within natural microbial communities.
