As a member of our Securities and Fund Settlement team, you’ll join 9 software engineers and 4 business analysts based across 3 countries, working on advanced systems for processing securities and fund settlement. You will join a journey from legacy system to a modern .NET Core stack and cloud-native technologies, designing robust solutions that automate and streamlines the settlement process.

Please note: This role does not include a relocation.

Your daily:

As a part of the team, you will be responsible for the design, development, and maintenance of backend services using C# and .NET Core. Additionally, you will collaborate closely with various stakeholders and contribute to the team's collective success.

Key responsibilities includes experience with CI/CD pipelines, including automating build, test, and deployment processes using Azure DevOps (with Azure Pipelines and YAML) and GitHub Actions.

Furthermore;

  • Implementing and optimising RESTful APIs for internal and external integrations.
  • Managing data with Microsoft SQL Server.
  • Integrating and supporting messaging solutions using IBM MQ.
  • Containerising and deploying applications using Docker, AWS, Windows servers and OpenShift.
  • Monitoring and troubleshooting production systems with Prometheus, ELK (Elasticsearch, Kibana), and Grafana.
  • Designing, implementing, and executing performance and load tests to ensure system reliability and scalability.
  • Writing clean, maintainable, and testable following best practices and SOLID principles.
  • Participating in code reviews, testing, and best practice adoption.

You will also:

  • Help grow and upskill Software Engineering colleagues.
  • Actively contribute to agile ceremonies and team goals.

What we imagine you bring

We are looking for a highly skilled professional with over 5 years of experience in C#/.NET backend development and REST APIs. You should have a strong technical background and a passion for collaboration and continuous improvement.

Key qualifications include:

  • Strong expertise in C#/.NET backend development and REST APIs.
  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server.
  • Hands-on experience with Docker, AWS, and OpenShift for containerisation and cloud deployments.
  • Proficiency in integrating with enterprise messaging systems such as IBM MQ.
  • Familiarity with GitHub and Azure DevOps for source control and CI/CD.
  • Advanced skills in writing unit tests, integration tests and using performance testing tools.
  • A good grasp of software design patterns and best practices.
  • An interest in wanting to learn and understand a complex business domain within the back-office processes of securities and fund settlement.


You should also possess:

  • Excellent skills in writing clean, maintainable, and well-structured code.
  • Strong teamwork, communication, and analytical abilities.
  • Experience mentoring and guiding colleagues to improve their technical skills.
  • A willingness to learn and improve constantly, coupled with a positive attitude.
  • Advanced proficiency in English, both written and verbal.
