Academic Research Staff at the Erler group at BRIC
About us
The Erler group studies how cancer spreads through the body and grows at new sites. We focus on how the tumor microenvironment regulates cells to identify and test new strategies to combat metastatic tumor growth. We foster a culture of teamwork, diversity, inclusivity and innovation.
Your tasks
As our Academic Research Staff member, you will carry out a number of routine laboratory tasks, e.g. molecular biology and tissue culture, preparation of laboratory reagents and other daily lab routines. You will also participate in various research projects that involve studying cancer progression and close collaboration with the group’s scientists.
Profile
Essential experience and skills:
It is important that you have experience with precision cancer medicine and computer engineering.
- Should hold as a minimum a bachelor’s degree in biotechnology
- You must be good at working independently and organized, and be self-motivated
- Have good interpersonal and communication skills, both in Danish and English; spoken as written
- Patient-derived organoid isolation and culture
- Patient-derived T-cell isolation and culture
- Co-culture drug screening
- Mammalian cell culture
- Tissue decellularization
- In vivo models of cancer
- Immunohistochemistry
- Microscopy work
- Image analysis
- QRT-PCR
- Western blots
- Data analysis
Your employment will be at BRIC, University of Copenhagen.
The position is 15 hours per week and for 1 year. The starting date is 1 May 2026 or as soon as possible hereafter.
Employment will be in accordance with the provisions of the collective agreement between the Danish Ministry of Finance and AC (the Danish Confederation of Professional Associations).
The monthly salary will be based on the number of years of work experience (seniority) with the possibility to negotiate a salary supplement based on prior experience and qualifications. The employer will pay an additional 18.07 % to your pension fund.
