Credit Analyst – 1st Line Credit, Large Corporates & Institutions Denmark

1st Line Credit manage the credit risk within Danske Bank’s large corporate, financial and public credit portfolio and ensure that we comply with the bank’s overall strategy and risk appetite. You will be part of a team of 10 skilled analysts covering the largest Danish and Global corporate customers. Given our broad industry coverage, we participate in a significant number of industrial scale transactions, large M&As and other complex projects.

A position with a high degree of analysis and structuring responsibility
To thrive in the role, you need to be able to comprehend and condense complex information, steering through situations where the involved parties can have differing priorities, while operating with tight deadlines and complex credit exposures.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Manage the credit risk in a designated portfolio of large corporates within different industries
  • Analyse credit requests and produce structured and intuitive recommendations including analysis of the individual counterparty risk and the broader macro- and geopolitical view on the countries where our counterparties reside or operate
  • Analyse risk reward and collect information on financial risk, ESG, compliance etc. from specialist departments and ensure these are naturally incorporated in the analysis
  • In close collaboration with the customer responsible and product units, develop forward looking customer strategies and risk appetite

Your background:

  • Relevant master’s degree and/or relevant analyst experience from a financial institution
  • Experience in analysing and assessing corporate credit risks is preferred, but not a requirement
  • Skilled communicator with proficient written and verbal English abilities
  • Strong analytical capabilities, able to communicate complex messages in an easily understandable way
  • You thrive by working independently while at the same time ensuring a strong cooperation with your colleagues
