Market Access Associate Director, EUCAN region

Novo Nordisk is seeking an experienced Market Access Associate Director to lead the development and execution of regional market access strategy for the EUCAN region (Europe & Canada) within various therapeutic areas. This role will partner closely with global access in providing strategic input to global pricing & evidence generation plans, as well as with affiliates in supporting their launch preparation.

Your new role
As Associate Director for Market Access (MA) EUCAN region, you will report to the Director of MA, EUCAN.
Your key responsibilities will be:
- Lead regional market access strategies: Develop and execute comprehensive market access plans for EUCAN, aligned with business priorities and in collaboration with the cross-functional team, to ensure successful market access outcomes across relevant payers’ channels.
- Affiliate support and collaboration: Act as a strategic advisor to affiliate Market Access teams for HTA submissions, pricing strategies, and launch preparation. Facilitate knowledge sharing and capability building across affiliates.
- Evidence generation and value communication: Provide strategic input into clinical development and evidence generation plans reflecting payer / HTA requirements. Advise on the development of value materials to support affiliates access objectives and ensure their roll-out / training.
- Cross-functional influence and policy monitoring: Embed EUCAN Market Access perspectives in early development, launch planning, and lifecycle management. Represent regional access views in governance forums and project teams across the organisation. Track policy developments, HTA / payers reforms and competitors’ trends to inform strategic recommendations and risk mitigation.
Region EUCAN is part of Novo Nordisk International Operations (IO). This role is located in the Copenhagen area in Denmark.
Your skills and qualifications
You have demonstrated 8–10+ years’ experience in market access, pricing, HEOR or payer strategy within the pharmaceutical/biotech industry, ideally with affiliate responsibilities across European and/or Canada markets.
The sought after skills are:
- A master’s degree in health economics, Public Health, Business Administration, pharmacy or a related field.
- Proven track record in developing and executing market access strategies integrating pricing, HTA and health economics across payers archetypes.
- Deep health economics expertise with excellent business judgment and regulatory/policy acumen.
- Strong strategic and problem-solving thinking, excellent analytical skills and the ability to translate evidence into persuasive value propositions and commercial cases.
- Excellent communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills; comfortable leading project teams and influencing at all organizational levels.
- Ability to travel within the EUCAN region as required.
Finally, you are a strong cross‑functional executor who drives integrated access solutions, solves operational challenges and builds capability across geographies. Fluent in English (additional European languages are an advantage) as well as operate effectively with autonomy while ensuring alignment to regional and global priorities.
