Student assistant (research)
Introduction
At the Department of Economics (ECON), Copenhagen Business School (CBS), Frederiksberg, Denmark we regard it a central task to explain what motivates decision-makers, how economic institutions are — or should be — designed, and whether the interaction between institutional design and motivation leads to an efficient or optimal outcome from society's point of view. Our research is often related to specific challenges facing different organizations.
Tasks in the position
Tasks in the position includes:
- Research assistance within behavioral and applied microeconomics.
- Research-related tasks on large datasets.
Requirements for experience/qualifications and personal skills
You will have a good understanding of behavioral and applied microeconomics, e.g. from the pursuit of a related degree. Solid academic grades in your current studies (Bachelor or Master), fluency in English, working knowledge in Danish, an ability to work independently as well as in teams, good organizational skills, and a willingness/enthusiasm to learn new methods will also be important. Experience with previous occupation in the field and working with large databases is an advantage.

Salary and terms of employment
Employment takes place in accordance with the HK organisational agreement and the Collective Agreement between the Ministry of Finance and Publicly Employed Organisations (OAO-S Collective Agreement).
The salary currently ranges between DKK 141,14 and DKK 148,06 per hour and is dependent on previous employment in the office profession and level of education. The pension contribution amounts to 16% of the pensionable salary components.
It is a prerequisite for employment that you are an active student at a higher educational institution.
The position is time-limited for 12 months in the period 1 January to 31 December 2026. Expected start date is 1 January 2026. You are expected to be present at the department on a regular basis. However, this will be defined in more detail together with your supervisor.
