Associate Manager – Chemical Team

Your new role

As Associate Manager for Chemical Team 2 within Quality Control (QC), you’ll lead 12 dedicated employees (Laboratory Technicians and Process Scientists) responsible for chemical analyses of samples. You’ll play a pivotal role in developing your team, driving continuous performance improvements, and delivering exceptional results.

Collaboration is central to this role. You’ll work closely with stakeholders in Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient (API) production, oversee resource prioritization, and coordinate with another team performing chemical analyses under the leadership of a fellow Associate Manager. Together, you’ll ensure smooth shared operations across the two teams.

Day-to-day your tasks will include:
- Setting objectives and strategic targets for your team.
- Delivering on daily operational targets.
- Overseeing and managing day-to-day operations and long-term planning of resources and processes.
- Securing quality and compliance of products and processes.
- Driving team achievements with a LEAN leadership approach.
- Ensuring team robustness and well-being while meeting deadlines and stakeholder expectations.

Your new department

The department is home to approximately 70 skilled employees working across four teams. Together, we handle operational analyses for factories we support and collaborate closely with production areas and other laboratories across Kalundborg.

Your skills & qualifications

We’re looking for an Associate Manager who thrives in dynamic environments and enjoys taking the initiative to explore innovative approaches. You’ll bring with you:
- A degree in Engineering, Biotechnology, or equivalent.
- Min.2 years of leadership experience with strong stakeholder management and collaboration skills.
- A LEAN mindset and a passion for challenging the status quo.
- Ability to innovate, take new initiatives, and act as a role model to your team.
- An admirable sense of adaptability to frequent agenda changes.

Preferably, you also have:
- Experience with GMP-regulated production and knowledge of QC.
