Gamst Aquakultur, part of AquaPri, is a cutting-edge RAS (recirculating aquaculture system) facility near Vejen, specializing in the production of freshwater zander for human consumption. Built in 2016, the facility is in rapid development and poised for significant growth. As we expand our operations, we are strengthening our production team — and you could be the next key player.
We’re Hiring: Production Operator
Do you have a passion for aquaculture and a drive to make a difference in a growing company?
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Production Operator to join our team in a full-time role.
Your Responsibilities
- Daily care: Feeding and monitoring fish stocks
- Water quality: Daily analyses and follow-up on RAS parameters
- Operational support: Sorting and packing fish
- Documentation: Record-keeping and reporting
- Technical: Inspection and maintenance of equipment (sensors, nets, etc.)
- Data collection, analysis, and registration of production inputs and outputs in our Aqua management system
- Supervision: Participating in a watch rotation approximately every 4/6 weeks
- Strategic input: Involvement in production planning, upcoming expansion phases, process and production practices improvements
What We’re Looking For
- Minimum 3 years of experience in aquaculture or related fields
- Educational background in biology, aquaculture, or animal science
- Practical experience in RAS systems is a strong advantage
- Capable of working independently and in teams
- Able to manage a fast-paced and dynamic environment
- Willing to take responsibility and grow with us
- Languages: Danish and/or English (Danish is a plus, but not mandatory)
- Residence proximity: During watch duty, you must be within a 20-minute drive of the farm. If you do not live nearby, accommodation close to the facility is provided during your on-call shifts
