We are looking for more individuals who want to become an active part of our energetic and dynamic team. As a Field Engineer/automation/PLC/Robot technician, you will have the opportunity to influence the company's operations, development, and future team setup. We are a scale-up company just coming from start-up organization, so having a "can-do" attitude is crucial. Flexibility is essential, as there will be tasks outside the immediate job description.
GMT Robotics, established in 2019 as a spin-off of GMT, is the first in the world to position itself as a trendsetter in robot-automated handling and welding solutions for the reinforcement industry worldwide, in November 2024 we got a major investment – and we are well capitalized now for our further expansion.
Job Responsibilities:
In-house jobs when no field jobs:
- Setting up and commissioning the robotic solutions developed and produced at our factory in Brøndby near Copenhagen.
- Assembling steel components and sub-assemblies manufactured abroad, together with a team with mechanical and electrical backgrounds.
Field engineer jobs:
- Team-lead in the installation and assembly of the systems at customer locations worldwide.
- Training customers on how to operate the systems.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Knowledge of PLC and experience with PLC programming, ability to make adjustments to robotics programs. Training will be organized in OTC and Nachi Robots.
- Ability to engage in discussions with software and robot engineers and suppliers about major changes.
- Mechanical assembly and electrical installation work.
- Involvement in the development of new products, from the documentation phase to software control in collaboration with internal and external engineers.
- Ability to read production drawings and understand electrical diagrams.
- Troubleshooting skills in both electrical and mechanical areas.
- Ability to mount mechanical parts (e.g., rails, robots, robot tooling, servo motors, gears, wires, etc.).
- Understanding of hydraulic and pneumatic diagrams.
- Electrician with god knowledge of mechanics, as well as pneumatics and possibly hydraulics and not afraid to reach across all 3-4 disicplines.
- Technical English skills, other languages are a plus.
- A forklift and crane license are a plus.
- Hands-on attitude and solution oriented.
Additional Information:
- The department will initially consist of only three people, requiring high flexibility and a solution-oriented approach.
- We plan to hire at least 10 more people with similar backgrounds over the next 24-36 months, leading to a division between those assembling systems in Brøndby and those primarily installing systems globally, i.e. Field Engineers.
