Come and join us as a Senior Mechanical Engineer, supporting operations across the network in Aseptic Manufacturing (AM) based in Lyngby.
The Position
As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you will be welcomed into a team of 30 within the AME Technical Execution department, where you will work closely with equipment managers, taking preventive actions, driving improvement initiatives, and optimizing production processes for the filling lines. You will be part of a ramp-up journey, increasing the capacity of our filling production lines to support sites globally.
In collaboration with the local site, your responsibilities will include:
- Ensuring the stability of production equipment across Novo Nordisk’s global sites.
- Implementing improvement initiatives.
- Developing the knowledge and skills of workers and technicians.
- Engaging in systematic problem-solving, driving optimal performance of the filling equipment, and defining strategies for reliable line setups.
- Completing documentation with a high level of detail such as, work instructions, guidelines etc.
This role involves collaboration with diverse stakeholders across the organization. As this position has a global scope, you will interact with sites in the US, Belgium, Italy, Brazil, China, and France, with travel opportunities of around 8 weeks per year.
Qualifications
To succeed in this position, you must have:
- An academic degree in mechanical engineering, marine engineering (Maskinmester), or a similar field. Alternatively, you may have a background as a technician or craftsman with experience in the manufacture of mechanical parts.
- An understanding of how mechanical adjustments, alignments, dimensioning, and tolerances can influence the manufacturing process, along with practical experience using this knowledge to improve performance.
- Experience in filling processes with isolators, preferably within pharmaceutical manufacturing.
- Experience with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) or work in highly regulated industries, such as biotech/pharmaceuticals, food, precision mechanics, or aviation, will also be considered.
- Fluency in English.

You can effectively use your excellent communication skills to build relationships cross-functionally and globally. Fluency in spoken and written English is required for this role.
About the Department
You will be part of the Technical Execution team within Aseptic Manufacturing Engineering (AM) in Product Supply (PS). The position is based in Lyngby, Denmark. The team’s mission is to minimize or eliminate human interaction with our injectable products through optimization, robotics, and automation. You will work alongside specialists, academics, technicians, and external development partners from a wide range of disciplines.
