The Position
As a Process Engineer, you will join a dynamic team responsible for the final step in purification. You will be part of a dynamic workday, handling daily operations where we ensure smooth operations and continuous improvements spray drying and freeze-drying processes. There is also a chance to be involved in optimization projects and support colleagues across production facilities.

The main tasks will be to:
• Use a data-based approaches for quantifying process deviations.
• Analyse large amounts of data for process understanding.
• Develop statistical process control charts.
• Recommend process improvements.
Qualifications
The qualifications we value include having:
• A minimum of a bachelor’s or master’s degree in chemical, industrial, mechanical engineering or natural science.
• Experience in a similar position, in spray-drying or freeze-drying processes/equipment.
• Knowledge of GMP.
• Full professional proficiency in written and spoken English and an intermediate level of Danish, or a strong will to learn Danish. As you will communicate in Danish with our operators.
As a person, you are a true team player with excellent communication, collaboration and stakeholder management skills. Being self-driven, with a strong ability to independently analyse data, that enable you to extract crucial information is essential.
Success in this role involves conveying complex information to diverse audiences and explaining purposes to ensure everyone is on board. A strong appetite for solving complex problems is fundamental, as we value a systematic approach to managing complexity and achieving feasible solutions.
About the Department
We are a process support group that consists of 25 people and split into 2 teams: Column & Other and Final Step, with responsible areas as: Process Support, Cleaning and batch release. You will be employed in the Purification department PP-III, in the Final Step team.
As part of Novo Nordisk’s Product Supply organization, Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (API) is responsible for manufacturing several types of products. with a team of skilled international colleagues all working together to ensure that API is purified in a compliant process and in the right quality.
The department of Purification lies at the interface between Upstream manufacturing, where the initial API is generated, and Product formulation, where the API is formulated into the final product for the patient. Purification plays an important role in API manufacturing because it is responsible for generating the final API, purifying it to a high quality, and ensuring that the product is supplied to the next stage in the supply chain for access to the patient. Therefore, a good quality mindset, data analysis, process monitoring, dialogue with key stakeholders, and recommendations for process improvements are crucial.
