At Novo Nordisk, we are seeking a Group Internal Auditor to join our Finance & ESG Assurance Team in Group Internal Audit (GIA).

The position
As a Group Internal Auditor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring compliance and performing assurance activities within specific affiliates. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting audits to assess compliance and effectiveness of operations within the Novo Nordisk’s engineering business (NNE).

  • Performing and assisting in investigations related to compliance issues in NNE.

  • Identifying opportunities for process improvement and conducting compliance reviews in the NNE affiliates.

  • Serving as the main point of contact for compliance-related inquiries related to the NNE group.

  • Supporting the development and delivery of compliance-related training programs.

  • Assisting in auditing capital expenditure (CAPEX) projects related to capacity expansion, as well as audits in other GIA domains.


Qualifications

You hold a MSc or similar in Finance, Accounting or Auditing and are fully proficient in written and spoken English. Other success criteria are:

  • A minimum of five years of experience working in a large auditing firm.

  • Experience in conducting compliance investigations.

  • Strong analytical skills combined with a proactive mindset and excellent stakeholder management abilities.

  • High energy, a good sense of humour, and the ability to maintain focus when handling complex issues under pressure.

  • Experience with compliance and auditing of engineering companies is a plus.

  
About the department 

The position in GIA is based in Novo Nordisk HQ in Bagsvaerd, Denmark. While your primary role will be anchored at HQ, you may also be required to work from the NNE office in Virum, Denmark, for a few days at a time, particularly during periods of high activity. GIA consists of 31 dedicated colleagues, of which 6 are within the Finance and ESG audit team. GIA represents nine different nationalities and is responsible for providing assurance to Senior Management and the Audit Committee within finance, business ethics, ESG and IT. Our team consists of various backgrounds, working in a dynamic, ambitious, and informal environment.
