Hospitality Assistant, Hesla Farm, Gol, Norway
We are currently seeking a qualified and motivated individual to join our team in a permanent full-time position at our historic farm hotel in Norway. And you are a EU/EFTA citizen, or you have a valid work permit in Norway.
This role is ideal for a candidate with a background in hospitality and service, combined with skills in marketing and IT, who is eager to contribute to the growth of a unique and environmentally conscious tourism destination.
As a team member at our historic hotel farm, you will take part in a diverse range of tasks that ensure the smooth, high-quality operation of both guest services and the preservation of our unique cultural environment. Your role will include:
As HMS Coordinator, you will oversee the implementation and continuous development of our Health, Environment, and Safety routines. You’ll work closely with our hospitality, farming, and events teams to promote a safe and well-functioning workplace for staff and guests alike.
Front Desk & Guest Relations
- Warmly welcoming guests and providing a memorable check-in/check-out experience
- Offering personalized information about the farm, cultural heritage, and local activities
- Managing reservations, guest inquiries, emails, and calls in a professional and timely manner
Housekeeping & Facility
- Presentation Preparing and maintaining guest rooms to high standards of cleanliness and comfort.
- Ensuring shared spaces (lounges, kitchens, restrooms) are clean, inviting, and well-stocked.
- Handling laundry and linen changes with care and attention to detail. Send laundry to be clean and make sure is back in good time.
Food & Beverage Support
- Assisting with breakfast service and simple traditional meal preparation, buying food, good communication with other employees for this needs
- Helping in the bar or café area, including serving beverages or light refreshments.
- Inventary and purchase of necessary products
- Ensuring dining areas are clean, well-presented, and reflect our hospitality values
Maintenance & Environmental Care
- Identifying and reporting to Ligia and to the person in charge of maintenance any technical – mecanic or facility issues promptly and make sure that this it is resolved
- Assisting with light maintenance and daily upkeep of indoor and outdoor spaces
- Supporting sustainable routines such as recycling and energy-saving practices
Guest Experience & Activities
- Helping organize cultural experiences, seasonal activities, or small events on the farm
- Creating a welcoming and relaxed environment that encourages guest interaction
- Supporting guests with special requests to enhance their stay
Marketing & Communication
- Capturing daily life at the farm through photos and videos for social media
- Assisting with storytelling content that shares our heritage and values
- Contributing to online presence and guest communication when needed
- Answer emails, bookings

Skills
- Language: English, Norwegian or Scandinavian.
- Excellent Communication Skills: Ability to engage with guests and team members in a professional, friendly, and clear manner.
- Customer Service Excellence: Strong focus on delivering high-quality service to ensure a positive guest experience.
- Organizational and Planning Skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks and responsibilities, ensuring smooth daily operations.
- Problem-Solving Abilities: Proactive in identifying issues and finding practical solutions in a timely manner.
- Attention to Detail: Ensuring that all tasks, from hospitality to maintenance, are carried out to the highest standards.
- Team Collaboration: Ability to work effectively in a team, contributing to a positive and productive work environment.
- Adaptability and Flexibility: Comfortable with taking on a variety of tasks and adjusting to changing priorities as needed.
- Basic IT Skills: Familiarity with social media platforms, booking systems, and Microsoft general office software.
- Time Management: Efficiently prioritize tasks to meet deadlines and ensure smooth operations.
- Driving Skills: A valid driving license is required for transportation needs and farm-related activities.
- Knowledge of Sustainability Practices: Understanding or interest in environmental sustainability and conservation practices.
- Cultural Sensitivity and Global Awareness: Comfortable working with guests from different backgrounds and providing an inclusive experience.
- Experience in Hospitality: Previous experience in hotel or farm-based services will be an advantage.
Contract
- Permanent Contract – Long-Term Position
- We are offering a permanent 100% position with a 3-month trial period.
- Full-time salary: 20,000 – 25,000 NOK/month.
- Pluss On-site accommodation is guaranteed (valued at 8,500 NOK/month)
Start date is 01.07.2025.
Working hours 36-40 hours.
