The position

As Manager/Senior Manager you will lead a dynamic team of 20 talented specialists, scientists, technicians, and students. Your team is responsible for the development and optimisation of API downstream processes and collaborates with a wide range of stakeholders within and outside Novo Nordisk. The team has an innovative approach at solving challenges and identifying solutions. Together, you’ll support the pioneering Novo Nordisk portfolio and shape the future of API processes in both development and commercial manufacturing.

Reporting directly to the Vice President of API Downstream Development, you will be an integral member of our management team (7 Managers and 1 Senior Manager), steering projects that redefine what's possible in the pharmaceutical industry.

Your main tasks will be to:

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you excel in your leadership role, fully aware of your identity as a leader and how you actively engage with your team. Additionally, you passionately drive the leadership agenda in collaboration with your management colleagues, inspiring everyone towards shared success. Furthermore, you:

  • Have a relevant educational background at MSc or PhD level.
  • Have a minimum of +3-5 years of people management experience, ideally from the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Are passionate about motivating and developing your team members.
  • Have demonstrated to deliver results without compromising job satisfaction.
  • Have excellent communication skills and are fluent in English.

As a person you possess strong interpersonal skills, which enables you to build trust and followship within your team. You like to develop, involve, and empower your team members and demonstrate authenticity and motivate others to achieve high-quality results. You thrive in a dynamic development environment where sharp priorities and complex problem-solving is part of everyday life. About the department

API Downstream Development is a department within the business area Chemistry, Manufacturing and Control (CMC) API Development. Our main responsibilities are to develop and support API downstream processes for clinical production of API and later commercial API manufacture all supporting the progress of the pipeline in Novo Nordisk. We work closely with stakeholders across Novo Nordisk as well as work with external stakeholders, such as Contract Manufacturing Organizations (CMO). We provide input to regulatory filing as well and we work in a non-GMP environment.

We are approx. 130 highly skilled and motivated colleagues organized in eight teams, located in Bagsværd, Greater Copenhagen. The department is characterized by a can-do attitude, and an open-minded culture where we are proud of our work and focused on customer satisfaction.
