The Position

Your role will be critical in the implementation of the business plan of the External Supply area, ensuring alignment with Novo Nordisk's long-term goals. You will be leading, supporting and executing strategic projects, as part of the large-scale Transformation in External Supply in CMC-Product Supply, where you will interact with the business units and top management to ensure involvement and progress. You responsibilities will include:

  • Project Management, leading the planning, execution, and delivery of high-impact projects, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and strategic priorities.
  • Stakeholder Engagement, managing relationships with senior stakeholders, ensuring clear, consistent, and compelling communication to align expectations and project outcomes. And facilitate strategic discussions and presentations, turning complex information into actionable insights for stakeholders.
  • Project Controlling by monitoring progress, controlling risks and initiate mitigations, execution of key project activities, strategic oversight and ensuring timely delivery. Drive resource allocation and establish overviews to support current and future planning.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration, fostering collaboration across business units and departments, ensuring cohesive project execution and alignment with organizational objectives. Lead and facilitate effective meetings, driving productive discussions and managing outputs efficiently.

You need to have a high level of independence, a strategic mindset, and the ability to collaborate effectively across functions and stakeholders.

Qualifications
We are looking for someone who has:

  • A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in economics, business administration, engineering, science, medical, or a related field.
  • Over 5 years of experience in managing complex, large-scale projects, particularly in strategic transformations from a reputable strategy consultancy or business development/strategy department.
  • Strong Lean toolbox with a solid understanding of systematic problem-solving methodologies, including Value Stream mapping.
  • Proven ability to drive cross-functional projects independently and effectively collaborate as a co-lead.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a motivation to effect change at all organizational levels.

On top of these, Proficiency in both written and spoken English is essential. Experience in management consultancy or working with regulated industries is highly regarded but not essential. Prince2, SAFe certification, and PMP are preferred, and knowledge of supply chain/external supply is also a plus.

About the department

ES Portfolio & Strategy is a team within the department External Supply Business Development and Support. ES Portfolio and Strategy team is responsible for driving and overseeing the ES Transformation, deploying the newly launched ES Business Plan, and driving the ES Strategy development each year. This also includes portfolio management and prioritisation of strategic business initiatives across External Supply, encompassing all transformation related initiatives across the line. We are a diverse team, who operate in an open, honest and collaborative environment within the team, and across the different business units (line of businesses).
