The Position
As an Environmental Monitoring Team Member, your main tasks will include:
- Playing a key role in leading initiatives to drive EM process improvements, as well as leading systematic problem-solving, and being involved in projects and tasks in process groups.
- Driving and contributing to the optimisation of our processes in close collaboration with other departments in the factory. This involves being creative and challenging the status quo.
- Supporting the production and operators in resolving challenges they encounter in their daily work.
- Controlling and correcting any trends in the internal environment, including the preparation of trend reports.
- Handling deviations to ensure ongoing updating of instructions and procedures, to comply with current GMP requirements and established manufacturing procedures. This also includes ensuring timely product release.
- Managing change requests for both minor and major process or building changes.
- Participating in specialist groups across the organisation, further expanding your knowledge and expertise.
Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you have:
- Holding a MSc. degree in Natural Sciences, Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience in at least one of the following would be considered advantageous: cleanrooms, HVAC systems, microbiology, engineering, and validation.
- A great understanding of microbiology, engineering or relevant process knowledge and it comes naturally for you to set direction in your daily work.
- Working proficiency in English and willingness to study Danish language.
- Displaying a natural sense of ownership and an ability to navigate complex tasks.

About the Department
In Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (API), located in Kalundborg, we produce products to help people living with chronical diseases like diabetes and obesity. We always have many exciting projects across Novo Nordisk - some require entirely new setups to utilize the opportunities in contemporary technology, while other are more focused on optimizing existing setups. Insulin Manufacturing 1 in Kalundborg is the world’s largest insulin factory. We produce the active ingredients which are the main component in many of Novo Nordisk’s products including our new product for which we have high expectations. M1 is unique as we have the entire production chain gathered under one roof. The QC/EM department in M1 consists of 5 teams and consists of approximately 70 colleagues all in all.
