We are looking for a passionate candidate to lead our high-performing Clinical Pharmacology Department and advance our clinical drug candidates in Rare Diseases.
The position
In this crucial role, as a Senior Director in Clinical Pharmacology, your main responsibilities will be focused on:
- Leading, supporting and empowering your team to develop solutions addressing the unique challenges posed by Rare Diseases where standard solutions are often hard to find
- Leading Clinical Pharmacology strategies and oversee activities for our diverse portfolio/TAs including haemoglobinopathies, rare bleedings disorders and rare endocrine disorders
- Ensuring that Clinical Pharmacology development options are carefully evaluated and optimised
- Upholding high scientific quality in all M&S deliverables while fostering strong collaboration and communication with key stakeholders
- Promoting a culture of teamwork and innovation within the Clinical Pharmacology department, as well as across the wider M&S Rare Diseases area
Qualifications
We are looking for someone who has a strong passion for both science and leadership. Our ideal candidate will demonstrate:
- A MSc in Life Science or related, or MD and proven experience or aspiration to lead a specialised team of Clinical Pharmacology experts
- Expertise in complex clinical trial designs, pharmacokinetics/pharmacodynamics (PK/PD), and dose setting
- The ability to navigate and collaborate within a complex matrix organisation, engaging stakeholders from research through to commercial
- An international perspective, with experience managing remote team members
- Familiarity with regulatory interactions and submission processes
- A strategic approach to drug development, including insights into business development
As a professional, you will have exceptional skills in balancing demands and resources within a varied portfolio, while prioritizing mental well-being.
