The Department of Food and Resource Economics offers a 3-year postdoc position within the field of quantitative economic research in consumer behavior and value chains, with main focus on food demand and related domains, and often as part of interdisciplinary research collaborations. The postdoc will be involved in research projects with economic perspectives on economic incentives and barriers for healthy and sustainable dietary behavior, economic mechanisms in the prevention of food loss and waste, resource allocation along the food value chain, and other economic aspects of the food system, at domestic and international levels. Furthermore, the postdoc will be involved in the department’s teaching activities and commissioned research for the Danish government, and in the development of new research proposals and grant applications.

We welcome candidates with strong backgrounds in economic theory, econometrics and other quantitative methods for empirical economic analysis and with prior experience in empirical economic analysis of consumer behavior.

Required/desired qualifications

  • PhD degree in economics or similar.
  • Experience with quantitative economic analysis of consumption behavior or similar
  • Excellent English language skills and willingness to present work in diverse settings, including international conferences
  • Enthusiasm for interdisciplinary collaboration
The postdoc’s duties will include research within economics of food consumption and food value chains as well as teaching. The post may also include performance of other duties.
