Pennecon is seeking qualified individuals to work at the Nalunaq Mine Site in Southern Greenland.

As we ramp up with this project, we are seeking motivated and talented individuals who possess the technical skills required to contribute to the project team.

Role: Labourer
Location: Nanortalik, Greenland

The successful candidates will work in the field and be responsible to support the Company’s safety, quality and environmental programs, in the execution of the work.

Duties include:

• Ability to perform assigned tasks with minimal supervision
• Perform general labour duties to support construction and site operations
• Assist skilled trades with material handling, equipment setup, and work area preparation
• Load, unload, move, and organize materials, tools, and equipment
• Perform site cleanup, housekeeping, and waste removal to maintain a safe work environment
• Operate hand tools and basic power tools as required
• Follow work instructions and safety procedures at all times
• Assist with basic construction tasks such as digging, lifting, carrying, and positioning materials
• Complete assigned tasks efficiently to support project schedules
• Adhere to all workplace safety policies, regulations, and compliance legislation
• Demonstrate a strong work ethic, positive attitude, and ability to work in a team environment

The Ideal Applicant for this position will possess the following:

Required Education and Experience

• Previous experience working in construction, industrial, or mining environments is preferred
• Ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting, carrying, and working for extended periods
• Willingness to work in a remote mine environment, including varying weather conditions and outdoor work
• Ability to follow instructions and work safely around heavy equipment and other personnel
• Strong commitment to workplace safety and teamwork
• Reliable, punctual, and adaptable to changing job requirements

Safety Requirements

• First Aid training would be an asset
• Fall protection would be an asset

Work Schedule and Conditions

• Remote Work in Northern Climates
• Working outside
• Local accommodations provided, with camp construction pending
• This position will be required to be on an extended work schedule, with longer hours and weekend work necessary to progress the project in a short construction season 4 weeks on / 4 weeks off)
