Controller with strong analytical skills and business understanding

Are you motivated by turning complex data into insights that create business value? Would you like to combine classic controlling tasks with business-oriented data analyses, reporting and process automation? Why not join IRON Pump as our new Controller and play a key part in our continued growth.

About the position

IRON Pump is a Danish company exporting high-quality pumps worldwide. We are growing, and we are looking for a Controller who wants to help develop our finance function and create even more value from our data. You will be involved in our financial processes end to end and will work closely with colleagues across the organisation.

The position combines classic accounting and controlling tasks with business-oriented analyses. We are about to automate both our financial and business processes and to further develop our data foundation, reporting and Power BI. Within the coming years, we will also upgrade our ERP system. You will play a key role in many of these initiatives, and you will have the opportunity to shape your own role, grow with it and take on more responsibility – and not least help build the finance function of the future.

You will report to our CFO and join a finance team of five people. Today, IRON Pump has approx. 100 employees in Denmark and 20 employees in China. We have our own production facilities in both countries, and we continue to grow.

Your key responsibilities will be:

  • Reconciliations and other ongoing controlling and accounting tasks.
  • Contributing to monthly reporting, budgeting, forecasting and follow-up.
  • Preparing analyses that support the business, e.g. profitability and margin analyses.
  • Further development of Power BI models and expanding Business Intelligence to more business areas.
  • Involvement in group consolidation and support of financial staff in our Chinese subsidiary.
  • Continued development of processes and governance.
  • Contributing to the development and automation of financial processes, including the use of AI, as well as the upcoming ERP upgrade.
  • A fixed, hands-on role in bookkeeping corresponding to one day a week, giving you a solid foundation for contributing to the development of automated processes.

About you

You have a relevant financial education, e.g. within business economics, finance or accounting – at bachelor's or master's level – and approx. 2–3 years of relevant work experience. You are accurate and detailed in your financial work while never losing sight of what the business needs. You have the ability to see how data can support the business and how technology can make processes more efficient.

We are looking for someone who:

  • has a solid foundation in accounting and bookkeeping, is confident with reconciliations, and ideally has insight into how end-to-end business processes work in a manufacturing company.
  • has strong analytical skills and an interest in working with complex data.
  • has a holistic understanding of the business and a flair for how data creates value across the organisation.
  • can turn data into clear analyses and useful decision support.
  • has experience with or an interest in Power BI; hands-on experience is an advantage.
  • works in a structured and independent manner with the ability to complete tasks.
  • has a personal drive, a can-do attitude and a desire to grow personally and develop the role.
  • has strong collaboration skills and enjoys reaching out to different functions across the organisation.
  • is willing to combine analytical development tasks with hands-on bookkeeping tasks.

We offer

  • An independent and varied job in a growing, international company.
  • Flexibility and a good work-life balance.
  • An exciting career path for the right candidate, with the opportunity to influence your role and grow as your role develops.
  • A central role in developing our Power BI, automation and AI solutions.
  • Broad collaboration across the company and insight into the entire business.
  • A strong professional environment with a short path from ideas to action.
  • A range of employee benefits, such as health insurance, lunch buffet, a sports club and extra holiday allowance.
  • A workplace within cycling distance of Copenhagen, close to the light rail and with good parking facilities.

Start date: As soon as possible.
